Here's another weird one for you! Please keep in mind this is my personal experience and my own opinion about this method of birth control. Implanon/Nexplanon isn't for everyone, and I've heard some horror stories! But it's worked for me, and I just wanted to share that with you.

Here's some more information about it:
- Implanon is a contraceptive rod, about the size of a match, containing the hormone etonogestrel, which is similar to the naturally occurring hormone progesterone.
- It is the most effective reversible method of contraception available. It is more than 99.9% effective.
- Unless side effects are severe, you should try to keep Implanon in for at least three months, as any side effects will often settle in this time.

Implanon is a form of birth control rod implant. It's a simple process to have it implanted, and it must be done by a trained professional. The implant lasts for 3 years. You may get mild, or severe side effects, or none at all. Definitely keep in touch with your doctor and ask them any questions you may have about the insertion, removal, or process.
