Hey ya'll! I've had several people ask for tips in entering or competing in the NYX Face Awards! Here are the ones I think are most important based on my experiences competing in both 2016 and 2017. I have a bit of a rant midway through this about an issue in the Face Awards.

Either way, I hope this really helps creative artists out there who have a dream!

Other notes:
-Submissions are open April 2nd=27th
-Videos must be 15 mins or less.
-Using makeup products that are NOT NYX are allowed for your ENTRY video but not once you make it into the competition. It's a good idea to call it something generic like "using this blue eye-shadow" instead of naming a competitive brand.
-Be informative in your tutorial. Explain elements that inspired you and why your using the techniques you chose!

How Entry videos are judged according to FaceAwards.com:
25% Creativity of the look;
20% Educational value of the tutorial;
20% Artistry in makeup application;
20% Quality of the video production;
15% Overall Presentation of the tutorial
