My wardrobe philosophy as an artist is to always get some good quality black pieces as the base of the wardrobe. Anything trendy or inexpensive is disposable. Since ones working wardrobe will get a lot of wear and tear over time.

I would choose earrings and all other jewelry for work based on your jobs dress code, brand, and potential clientelle base expectations. No dangling noisy jewelry.
