Personally, I like medium coverage on a normal day (sometimes tinted moisturizer works too...) I like to have coverage but still see a little of my natural skin tone and texture.

Products:
Too Faced Primed and Poreless (bronze shade)
Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation (medium ivory)
Make Up Forever HD Powder

Good substitutions for those on a budget:
PRIMER: Hard Candy Sheer Envy Primer (silicone based so not great for oilier skins), L'Oreal Studio Secrets Primer

FOUNDATION: is going to depend on what kind of coverage and finish you want, but I personally like the following:
Revlon ColorStay, L'Oreal TruMatch, and I hear buzz about Maybelline FitMe Foundations being good too.

POWDER: I won't lie. I'm addicted to my Laura Mercier translucent powder (even though I didn't use it in the video...) but NYC has a great transparent setting powder that I keep in my kit and Coty powders are nice too. If you want color in your powder, I would go for the L'Oreal TruMatch personally.
