White lace patterns are always so dainty and elegant, no woman can ever go wrong with them. They look pretty and delicate and go with almost all girly outfits too! If you love your nails to be as girly as possible, this is the look for you! Below are some FAQs that might come in handy:

Q: What other colors would look good here?

A: Besides white, and shades of white like off-white, silver, etc, you can also try colors like pink and soft purple here. Overall, most pastel shades would go well in this pattern, or you can simply go for black. A very similar look created by me, using nail decals, in the color black:

Q: Would this look work on short nails?

A: Unless your nails are wide, no. This look can only be created on long or, as in my case here, medium length nails. This could work on shorts nails, only if there is enough width to fit in the design pattern. A nail pro might be able to re-create this using a very tiny brush though, but I do believe there is a good chance of this design getting still very cluttered in that case. Q: Did you use white polish here, or was it acrylic?

A: It was a water based color. I barely ever use polish for my designs, especially the more intricate ones, since polish is awfully irritating to handle. It is think and gets very lumpy when you need to draw the fine lines. Also, they have a knack for damaging your brush! I highly recommend you use water based colors for such designs!

Q: Those rhinestones are terribly tiny! Where did you get them?

A: I love these tiny rhinestones so very much. They find great place in nail art, and I will be using them a lot for my next 2-3 designs for sure! In any case, I am sorry to tell you all, that these are not available online. You might look for them in craft stores though.

Q. How long will the rhinestones stay?

A: It really just depends on the top coat you use. If you use a good top coat, it could last well as long as your nail polishes. The smaller rhinestones last longer than the larger ones - that is the general rule of thumb though. If you want them to stay longer, you can apply some glue under them - glue made for your nails, that is.

Q. How long does it usually take to create such lace nail art looks?

A: It barely takes 4-5 minutes to complete. If you use nail polish (which I have already advised you against though), it may take longer. The water based colors dry really fast too, so that means you can seal your lace drawings with a top coat polish sooner and get this done and over with in even lesser time.

Q: Does the nail shape have to be a square manicure?

A: Laces are very feminine, so the first thought would never be be do create the edgy square tip. However, in case of most white tips looks in french manicures, the squared tip is usually the better look since it can highlight the design a lot better in the process. You can do the oval shape too, but square is much better in such cases.
