If it causes irritation, don't use it. Switch to something for sensitive skin. I use proactive on my face, however I use it only one a day because it is sometimes harsh. It just depends on the person.

I used proactiv for a few months.....made my skin worse. I actually use ivory bar soap and a good oil free moisturizer afterwards.....clearest skin ever.

I think you should stop
