Two faced lip insurance is great. It just helps the color stick, the pigmentation come out bolder, lip products apply smoother and overall last longer and your lip products are less likely to smudge or bleed.

If you use a lip balm you want to remove it prior to applying your lipstick as it can move it around and give it less staying power. I used bite beauty's lip primer and I love it.

I love using Fresh's lip balm first thing! I just recently switched off plumper first to Fresh, then face then lips last . So soft, perfect and ready for any lip application!

i have an elf lip primer, its like a foundation for my lips, it tones down my lip color so that my lipstick comes out more vibrant and true to color. its not really moisturizing so i use chapstick first, then primer, then my lipcolor.

I use the Fresh lip balm prior to applying my OCC lip tars and my lips are well moisturized until I eat or drink something.

Honestly hon, just chapstick is the best way to go. Just put some lip balm on, wait about 5 minutes, then do your liner/lipstick. A sugar scrub on your lips before balm will help too, to get rid of excess skin/bumps.

It works like any primer. Prepares the lips for color and helps it last. Most are VERY drying and will cause chapping. Allow me to suggest an alternative--Cover Girl had a lipstick and a top coat combo. Great shades to choose from. No primer needed and it it very long-lasting and not drying
