I do id take any feelings into consideration but wouldnt let it hold me back from my job so If I don't get an interview id like to reply but with a little help of what I should say cuz its pretty yes or no don't get to explain ... Idk just would like some tips on what they are looking for :)

I have applied to both sephora and Ulta actually never got a call back. It's been a while too. And I have been applying for 2 yrs now. I do have experience in selling and makeup artistry certification. They will always ask irrelevant questions such as what is your feelings towards or employees, do you take feelings in consideration. All this does not even tie to the job you are doing. I can advise that where u applied call them or go talk to the manager directly. Dress well. Do full face makeup. Wear all black. nice hair. take your resume, references, and cover letter with u. just kindly say that you have applied and wanted to set up an interview. The sephora where I live has bad management and no matter how many messages or calls you leave for them- no hearing back. Also check out glassdoor.com for job position reviews and sample interview questions. Type sephora or Ulta. Or go to google and type sephora glassdoor or Ulta glassdoor. Hope that helps.

I work at ulta! :) if you're really into makeup I would recommend going for the sephora job! ulta is more retail than makeup where sephora is more on the makeup artistry side. to be honest I got hired on the spot! you just have to be honest and loyal!

The same way you get hired at any other retail place. Honestly, I don't wait for call-backs. I call them and politely ask if there would be possible to schedule an interview.

Maintain good posture, good eye contact, be neat and tidy but not overdone and never try to BS your way around a question. If you don't know, say so, and assure them that if you don't know the answer to something, you will find out.

what Stephanie says is true! I would call them back and ask for the manager! The more I called back the more serious they know you are!
