Personally, I prefer stippling between these two, but my Ultimate preference is a really dense buffer brush. Like an oval brush or something. The finish is similar to stippling in my opinion.

Just to add my opinion real quick, I think stippling the foundation on takes less time than applying with a foundation brush because you can cover more ground in one movement.

I love the flat foundation brush, but it can make the foundation look streaky and then I have to pat onto the skin with the brush after applying it.

I do not know how I could live without my stippling brush before, when I only had the flat foundation brush. I love it so much! Application is super fast, amazing finish and if I want more coverage on one certain spot, I just pat on a bit more foundation with the stippling brush.

I would have to say the stippling brush, but a flat foundation brush is also very good in my opinion.

I actually use both. I use the standard foundation brush to apply the product all over my face and then I go over with my stippling brush to blend it in.

I really like the flat top kabuki brush from sigma! F80

They are both good but I prefer a denser buffing brush as I find it gives a nicer finish and makes it easier to blend the foundation perfectly.

Depends on what kind of coverage you want... flat brush= light coverage, sponge= medium-full coverage, stippling brush= Full, flawless coverage. Most like the sponge and stippling brush because it blends better.

Stippling is better I use that makes blending better. Flat leaves
streak in foundation.

Stippling brush is better in my opinion! I think it gives a clean finish a foundation brush can leave streaks if not applied carefully. Also I do not put the foundation the brush. I use my clean finger tips and dab it in areas then blend and work it into my skin with a stippling brush.

Like everyone has already said I think it depends on the foundation and the finish you want. The flat foundation brush is definitly great for a fuller coverage foundation and for getting around the nose and other small areas to cover redness ect. The flat foundation brush is also great for faces that tend to have more hair, especially on the top lip. Using this brush with downwards strokes help that hair lay flat and not get pushed up with product like a stippling brush can tend to do there.

Depends on the foundation I'm using. If I'm using something more liquid, I will use the stipple. It's a lot easier to apply with a stippling brush - not as much coverage but very natural look. If I have a thicker foundation I will use the flat brush, especially if I need more coverage.

They are both great but stippling gives an airbrush effect, beware if you go with the flat foundation brush be sure to not go up and down when blending because it will make your face look streaky so try to blend in x forma

I prefer the stippling brush, but I do agree it depends on what look you are trying to go for. The flat brush tends to give you a more fuller coverage while the stippling brush tends to give you an airbrushed look. I use flat brushes for primer, concealers, and sometimes highlight. But I love to use stippling brush to apply my actual foundation. However, I a brush addict when it comes to face brushes anyways.

I sometimes use both! I'll apply the foundation with the foundation brush then I'll buff it out with the stippling brush. It gives a great look!

I have both and I love the look that a stippling brush gives me....especially when blending out my powder and/or cream blush. And it also does an awesome job at blending my eye concealer.

Stipple! The other kind can just push it around on your face. The stipple brush gives you an airbrush effect.

Depends on foundation. I personally prefer stippling. Stippling is better for very liquid foundation
