Clarisonic vs. Olay PROx

I've been debating between the Clarisonic and PROx and I cant seem to decide. Can you all please help me decide?! :)

I actually did a comparison review on my blog between the Clarisonic Mia and Olay Pro-X: http://beauty.adorability.org/?p=1115 Hope that helps! I really love my Clarisonic, and there are advantages to it over the Olay but it can get expensive. I think the Olay is just as good if you want something that won't be too pricey. Both products worked for me!

You should try the Skin Sonic. It works amazing, much like the Clarisonic. It's so much cheaper than the Clarisonic and works better than Olay ProX. It's only $50. :)

I prefer the Clairsonic. I have the Mia and the Plus, but had opportunity to use an Olay Pro X. Clairsonic is waterproof, and it's far easier for me to cleanse my face in the shower. That's the biggest point of difference that makes the Clairsonic so worth it. I forgot to use the Pro X many times for the week I used it instead. So, it's not fair to say that my pores look better while using the Clairsonic if only because it was easiest to use. Clairsonic uses a rechargable battery housed within the device and charged by the accompanying charger and my Clairsonic has traveled around the world with me as both the Mia and Plus have universal adapters.
The ProX uses regular or rechargable batteries much like a remote, but if you use it to any serious degree, it can get pricy unless you already have a rechargeable battery system. Otherwise add $10/month for good batteries alone for the ProX. I see the results so I use my Clairsonic daily, so I'm considering the price for me, one who uses it heavily.

Has anyone tried the Cleaning & Polishing Tool from Sigma?

I started with the Olay and upgraded to Clarisonic. It was worth the money and gets much better results.

I can't really say anything about the ProX since I haven't tried it but I do absolutely love The Clarisonic Mia.

Joyce - I just watched a video by Beauty Broadcast on YouTube and she was talking about how she didn't like the Cleaning & Polishing Tool from Sigma because it felt really abrasive. I haven't used myself though so I have no idea...but it does spin like the Olay Pro-X instead of the vibrating motion that the Clarisonic does.

I believe good tools are worth investing in because they usually last longer and you get better performance along the way. After trying both I would say there's no comparison and I'd suggest the Clarisonic.

I def. have to agree with the Clarisonic! To me, it's like the difference between brushing your teeth with a regular hand-held toothbrush VS. a Sonicare toothbrush.

Also, you have to think long-term with these devices, especially if they are investment pieces. Things to consider: how often will I need to replace the battery if it is not rechargeable? What will maintaining the cost of brush replacements and batteries cost me on an annual basis? What is the life expectancy of the device? How durable is it? Are there warranties to safeguard my investment?

These questions lead me to my purchase of the Clarisonic. I do not have to worry about the expense of replacing batteries or purchasing rechargable batteries. Everything is sealed, so I don't have to worry about the handling of my device when in the shower or around the sink. I've dropped my Clarisonic too many times to count to hear it bounce loudly around the tub while my heart stops; only to pick it up and have it start up again instantaneously. This thing is durable like no other! I have the Clarisonic PRO, so it's really nice to have the charging cradle readily available on my nightstand, and I can just pick it up and go when I feel the need to wash with it.

To save money, however, I would suggest you go with the MIA. I honestly have NEVER used any of the other fancy-schmancy speed settings on my device, so I could have spared the extra cash for something else. The only thing I need to worry about with upkeep for my device is replacing the brush heads.

I had also been debating the clarisonic, the Skin sonic, and the Olay ProX cleansing brushes and I actually received the clarisonic mia for Christmas! Even though I haven't tried the Skin sonic or the Olay ProX I am totally loving the clarisonic mia! I have noticed a big difference in the amount of acne I have. Especially those annoying little bumps around my T-zone have been cleared. I wish I had a before and after picture! When I do get pimples or white heads, they are gone amazingly fast- in like 2 days! The clarisonic did not let me down and I can see why there is such a big hype on it. :D I hope this helps!

ddf revolve $98 has two speeds, comes with 3 brushes (1 cleansing & 2 dermabrasion), comes with a crystal polisher, revolves at 400x's per second while the clarisonic goes at 300x's per second. Go into sephora or ulta to feel the difference for yourself.
