I have used so many different products, Biolage, Pantene, TIGI, Wen, and nothing seems to help me keep my hair from frizzing out and drying out. I have color treated hair that's almost at my bra line. It's not thick, I'd say it's normal, but I have A LOT of it. I do have a scalp issue that I need to use a dandruff shampoo once or twice a week to keep the flaking/scabbing down. I've been thinking it's possibly the sulfates in my shampoo and I'd like to try a low sulfate shampoo. I tried a sample of the Loreal EverPure and I did NOT like it at all. Wen is ok, but they want me to use 48 pumps on my head at one time and I think that's excessive (not to mention expensive).
Suggestions? Help? PLEASE!!!!

It sounds like you may want to see a dermatologist about your scalp issues. They may be able to give you some more definite advice on what to do. They may also be able to recommend a product that won't dry your scalp out as much.
As for a recommendation, I'd try the Organix brand Renewing Moroccan Argan Oil shampoo. Their shampoos are really hydrating, smell amazing and they're supposedly sulfate-free. Now I researched the ingredients for you and the "DISODIUM LAURETH-3 SULFOSUCCINATE" they have listed in the ingredients and it's pretty cool stuff, here's what it does:
-helps reduce hair fading rate (+)
-is really mild & actually helps to reduce irritation of other surfactants (which are basically derivatives of oils) (++)
-helps to stabilize your shampoo overall ( another +)
And other than that, this shampoo's ingredients are really natural. Lots of oils and some perfumes and aloe as well. There is some silicon and other things but you'd be hard-pressed to find a shampoo without these things in this day and age. So definitely try this. And the best part is, it's like $6-7. I've tried that Organix Moroccan Argan Oil shampoo and conditioner and they left me............. underwhelmed. Giovanni is good but my frizz became almost uncontrollable. I've looked into Pureology but I now have sticker shock, lol.

Hmm..I'm sorry! Let's see, how about Joico? I've not checked to see whether or not they're sulfate free, but the products I have from them are fantastic! The k-pak repairing conditioner treatment I use make my hair feel like a baby's!

surface has really awesome products. they're all sulfate free, vegan, pvp & paraben free.. for your scalp you might want to try "awaken" its scalp stimulating but might want to go to a dermatologist first like Mavie said. it's a salon only product but not too expensive.

I have tried it's a 10 per someones recomendations and so far I love it. It says it's sulfate free and makes my hair soft and shiny. I have lots of fine hair and only wash everyother day. It was important for me to find shampoo that my hair didn't look oily half way through wash day.

Giovanni is a really good product for both shampoo and conditioner that is sulfate free. You can get this at stores like target and whole foods.

Try Organic Color Systems shampoos and conditioners. They are all sulfate and paraben free, not to mention certified organic and cruelty free!! However, it is a professional only line, so you would need to contact the distributor, Organic Salon Systems, to find a salon that carries the products.

I've read some labels at drug stores, even brands that say they are SULFATE free have some type of sulfate in it. Sodium Lauryl Sulfate is more than likely the second ingredient. It's very disappointing when I have a certain brand or product in mind, and I go to buy it, but I have to stop myself after I take a look at the ingredients.

Even if a shampoo doesn't include SLS/SLES, it'll be replaced with a different sort of surfactant. (That's what SLS and SLES are.)

I love Organix..they have a lot of variety in smells and for what you need. Plus, its affordable! As for the dry scalp, I have the same issue. I use Neutrogena T-gel once a week for the dry scalp and then continue with using the Organix (which is sulfate and paraben free) . My hair hasn't looked better. I used to have such frizzy hair and sulfates were the reason!
It takes a few weeks for you to get results, but eventually you will. Good luck!

Get this organic shampoo called pro naturals moroccan argan oil shampoo. You can get it online at beyas.ca because it's a salon brand, not some cheapo one that won't work. This one takes care of frizz, plus if you get their argan oil and use it after a shower you'll definitely see an improvement :)

I 100% recommend Infusium 23's Color Defender - even if your hair isn't color treated. Both the shampoo and conditioner are 100% sulfate-free and amazing! Each bottle costs $6 at Walmart and at Ulta.

Have you tried any Lush shampoos/conditioners yet? I haven't used any of their bottled shampoos, so I can't speak to their effectiveness, and the shampoo bars have left me underwhelmed. But the Veganese conditioner is really wonderful and leaves my hair manageable, less frizzy/coarse feeling, and shiny. Also it smells of fresh lemons! You can get a small bottle of it before you make the commitment because the full size is kinda pricy IMO (I'm usually a drugstore hair care kind of girl). I also agree with what some of the others have posted-- see a derm about your scalp issues if the flakies and scabbies aren't alleviated by finding products that make your hair feel better. I use joico and Indie Lee on my hair. I score the joico from Ulta when it goes on sale, it's pricey but its the only 2 that clean without turning me to a frizzball.
