i just had the most hideous haircut of my life. my hair is naturally curly and the girl who cut my hair made it way to short so now it looks like a curly mess. what is the fastest way to grow my hair back out?

I don't know of any miracle product that does that, but if I were in your shoes I'd probably Google something like 'cute short curly hair styles' and try to make the best of a bad situation. There are so many cute hair accessories out now, that it should be pretty simple.. you just need to step out of your 'usual routine' box to see what will work for your situation.

Try Fish Oil/Omega 3 vitamins promote healthy hair growth. I've been taking them consistently and my hair and skin look and feel much better!

Get a trim once a month! This prevents your ends from getting split and it will seem like your hair is getting longer, I promise.

Same exact thing happened to me! I straightened my hair before I came in, so the lady thought I was overexagerating when I said that my hair was really curly and poofy. So she cut it like a little longer than ear length, and it poofed and curled. I used my straightener to death and put lots-a hairspray and gel in it. If you cut it- just a little bit- not even an inch, like maybe 3 centimeters, just like the ends off, it makes it grow alot faster. Goodluck(:

There really isn't a way to make your hair grow faster. If you concentrate on keeping it healthy, it'll seem like it grows faster. Like the other girls said, keeping it trimmed will be the best thing for it, and figuring out ways to make it look cute will make it seem less horrible.

Just don't cut it ^^! Patience is the key to long hair. :)

I agree, keeping it healthy is the best way! I noticed that the most breakage occurs if you brush it while its wet, so i would suggest getting a really good detangler!

I agree with Andrea. Trimming monthly definitely helps the growth. Split ends kind of prohibit growth a little.

Drink lots of water.
Take vitamins [I take a multivitamin and fish oil capsule]
Comb your hair with a wide tooth comb whenever it is wet to prevent unwanted breakage.
Don't wash your hair everyday.
I also recommend brushing your hair with a boar bristled brush after on the second day of not washing your hair.
This helps move all the oils from the top of your scalp to the ends of the hair to nourish them so they are less likely to break off.
Also, look into keratin treatments.
They can help strengthen the hair.
Trimming off any split ends will also help so that the hair doesn't continue to break up the hair shaft.
If you are constantly using heat on your hair, I'd say trim once a month.
If not, every six weeks.
Also, be sure to use heat protectant.
These tips wont necessarily make your hair grow faster, but they will help you grow healthy hair so that is may continue to grow without breaking all off.
You have to be patient.
I'm in the process of growing my hair out as well.
I bleached my whole head and fried my hair and ended up having to get it all cut off so I'm right back where I started about a year ago.

I have long hair, so I can try to help.
1. Do NOT comb out those tangles with a cheap plastic comb...it will take some hair with it if you're not careful and cause frizz. Instead, use your fingers and gently untangle.
2. Massage your scalp/roots. This helps blood circulation and hair growth.
3. Straightening your hair makes it seem longer, if that's what you're going for. I think straight long bobs are cute, even though they are short.
4. Try a different hairstyle! There are many ways you can wear your hair: half up, ponytail, side ponytail, straight, curled, in a bun, etc... My advice: experiment! :)
5. Accessorize! Add cute hairpins or headbands..If you really REALLY dislike short hair, maybe you can have extensions? There's always the option!

Good luck! Sorry about the bad hair cut...I absolutely HATE it when it turns out bad, that's why I cut my own hair :)

I have very curly hair since I'm mixed with dominican and what I do Is I just stopped using heat on my hair also I do heavy oilings with coconut oil this made my curly hair very soft also use shampoos that don't contain any alchohols and sulfates since you have curly hair your natural hair oil tend to Take longer getting to your ends thats why curly hair Is always dry also don't use shampoos and conditioners from pantene Or herbel essences these tend to strip your hair of your oils I would suggest diva curls which have no sulfates and alchohol also curly hair does grow slower than straight hair Take some biotin and mousterize your hair mayb two times a week you will see a difference in your hair also you should speak with your stylist to see which conditioners are best for your hair trust me they know you will see a difference in your hair.

@Brianna Curly hair grows at the same rate as straight. But often curly hair is drier, and breaks off more easily. Also, because curly hair is 'wound' tighter, it looks shorter, but if you were to straighten it, it would gain a few inches. Just don't want anyone to be misinformed :)

Well hair growth is not determined by the texture or type of hair but by genetics and individual health. Everyone's hair doesn't grows at the same rate but it's isn't determined by curly or straight.
