So my skin is stubborn. It's hard for me to find a cleanser that works for it. Recently I ran out of the cleanser that had been working for me for a few months but it came with a kit and I didn't have enough to repurchase the kit so I got Clean & Clear's pore perfecting cleanser.. used that for a few weeks hoping it would work. Broke me out even more and wasn't nice. So I got St. Ives naturally clear green tea cleanser. & I REALLY wanted this to work out because the scent is so nice and pleasant. But no.. and so! 2 days ago I was bad skinned and at the dollar store and saw baby shampoo. & If you google baby shampoo as cleanser or for acne, tons of people say this actually works for them. So I'm trying out the myth! Ay yo! So I've cleansed 3 times so far. Last night, this morning, and just now & I'm surprised! The baby shampoo actually really cleanses the skin without any irritation and leaves it nice/makeup-free and oil free. My bumps have gone down, my forehead looked awwwfuul and now it looks NICE and my skins getting better and looks decent know. Haaaay. I'm hoping this works! Usually something will work for me for a week or so and then it just stops and I'm back to square one. I'll keep you guys updated! Anybody else tried this before?/ Any other 'myth' things you wanna share?

I LOVE using baby shampoo as an eye makeup remover--it's especially good at taking off stubborn mascara and pencil in the water line.

Cleanser for you face is like working out, after so long your muscle is immune to your workout you do and the muscle starts repairing itself quicker because its like it knows whats coming. Thats how my mothers skin is and I have somewhat taken after her skin. I have used baby shampoo and for me its the best. (And sometimes conditioner to make skin super soft) I also think its may be because there are a lot less junk in the shampoo, its just simple naturally. Keep on with the baby shampoo, makes my skin rediculously soft!

@Andrea F. - I'm wondering if you're having an allergic reaction to something in the facial products you tried. I don't know which baby shampoo you're using but if it's like Johnson's Baby Shampoo then the ingredients are:

Water, PEG 80 Sorbitan Laurate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Trideceth Sulfate, Glycerin, Lauroamphoglycinate, PEG 150 Distearate, Sodium Laureth 13 Carboxylate, Fragrance (Parfum), Polyquaternium 10, Tetrasodium EDTA, Quaternium 15, Citric Acid, D&C Yellow 10, D&C Orange 4

The Clean & Clear Pore Perfecting cleanser contains:

Water, Cocamidopropyl Betaine (Coconut Cleanser), Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Acrylates Copolymer, PEG 80 Sorbitan Laurate, Di-PPG-2 Myreth-10 Adipate, Coco Glucoside, Glyceryl Oleate, Glycerin, Fragrance, Soyamidopropyl Betaine, DMDM Hydrantoin, Lauryl Methyl Gluceth 10 Hydroxypropyl Dimonium Chloride, Methylparaben, Tetrasodium EDTA, Butylene Glycol, Glycine Soja (Glycine Soja Soybean Protein), Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Silica, Sodium Hydroxide (may also contain), Citric Acid (may also contain).

As much as I love using name brand products the fact is that people don't need to use so much junk on their faces. I know some "gurus" on YouTube use up to 10 different facial cleansers a day! Sorry but that's just WAY too harsh on the skin! Sometimes simple is better.

Have you tried an oat soap? I buy Mexican soap from the grocery store. The brand is Grisi and love it. Right now I'm using an aloe vera soap for my body. I also admit I do use other body washes but I switch things up so I don't constantly use the same thing every day.
