I love argan oil for my hair, which is pretty thick. The oil calms frizz and just makes it easier to run my fingers through my hair. I also use detangling spray and Garnier Fructis' strand saver nutrient spray immediatly after towel drying my hair till it just damp, then I brush it out starting at the ends and going up slowly till its all nice and neat. My hair goes just past my elbows, so tangles are a problem I see everyday, but these things plus always using a heat protectant when i blow dry or straighten ( which is rare, my hair is pin straight with just brush and air dry, but the straightener adds shine) and a once a week moisture mask for my hair really help out. Im sure stylists would have some advice on thining it out and layering to help too, I only know about hair care, not much in the way of cuts and such.

I have really thick hair that growing up was super long. I never really learned to manage it because my solution was to just put my hair up in a bun and be done with it. Any tips on how to make it easier to deal with, and even possibly not hate it when I wear it down? Straightening helps a bit but it takes a while to do, and serums have helped some, but I need some more options! Any help is appreciated (:
