I remember my half shaved days, sometimes I miss it then sometimes I feel like I can't be bothered, lol. What I use to do was when my shaved part grew out a little think I would go to the salon & get designs in the shaved portion. (Cassie was my ultimate inspiration) The designs looked super cute if I wore my hair in a messy top not or a super slick high pony tail. I never went over board with the designs & it actually looked pretty cool. Once I was over my long hair, I actually cut it into a asymmetrical bob with honey blonde ombre on the tips.
