I am light skin toned and I am looking for an affordable bronzer which I will use for contouring. What do you suggest?

I am light skinned as well and I've found that using a mineral powder foundation a few shades darker works very well for contouring. Andii is right; the undertone of bronzers are all wrong for contouring.

I think that it depends on what kind of bronzer you get. Bronzer's can definitely work well for contouring as long as you get one that works. I use a 'matte' bronzer from NYX. I think the key term here is matte. It is almost like a brown eyeshadow, so I agree with the eyeshadow suggestions. It's just hard to find a good drugstore eyeshadow for contouring.

Anyways. I highly recommend the NYX Matte Bronzers! :)

I like to use a liquid concealer that is sever shades darker than my skin tone. I find that using a liquid or cream to contour makes it look more natural because its easier to blend in. Plus it stays longer!!

I would recommend NYC Sunny, and also ELF blushed/bronzed for $3 http://www.eyeslipsface.com/studio/face/bronzers/contouring_blush_and_bronzing_powder

Kandee Johnson does a review on lots of bronzes (drugstore and more high end) I don't really agree on the fact that you can't use them for contouring, you totally can just go for one one or two shades darker than your skin tone, If you want shimmer go for if not go matte! I do suggest you watch this video it's awesome and will probably help you with your decision making !!

Physicians Formula has tons of bronzers and powders for contouring, I've tried a few and liked them :) Usually I just use an eye shadow a few shades darker than my skin tone.

hey fleur...well i wouldnt recomend bronzer for contouring(you dont want any shimmer, usually bronzer has shimmer)..but i will recomed elf blush/contour duo...$3 at target and it comes with a nice peachy blush/contour color to match...i think this would be a really nice starter kit for you to try...:) just remb to blend blend blend when using contours...hope this helps..xo sarahann

I agree with Andii stay away from shimmer for contouring no no no! :) If any one on here is African American or really dark, I recommend Sleek contour kit. They are based in the U.K. but ship to the U.S. their make up so gorgeous also. www.sleekmakeup.com

Most drugstore bronzers contain shimmer so I'd stay away from that as it brings the area forward. You could use two foundation shades. One matching your color, and one a couple shades darker to contour. You could use concealer pencil, eyeshadow, dark powder...

I use essenc sun club matte bronzing powder (couldn't find it in products here on beautilysh though, just the "normal" one) for lighter skin
They come in two shades: for blondes (lighter skin) and brunettes (darker skin).

Other than that you could just use an eyeshadow, as already said, in a light to medium brown, depending on what suits best

Yeah, instead of a bronzer, go for a pressed powder that's a couple of shades darker than your skintone.

i tried the elf blush/bronzer and even though it has a bit of shimmer i really loved the way it looked when i contoured with it. only problem is press softly with the brush or particles will fly everywhere.
