My hair has been damaged from heat styling tools, and I have a hard time finding shampoo and conditioner that leaves it continuously soft after EVERY use, please help!

If you want something a little bit more expensive, then try Ke´rastase and also Macadamian natural oil masks. Then if you want something affordable, I would recommend Aussie 3 minute miracle reconstructor and maybe some shampoo and conditioner from Loreal Elvital. Works with me :)

I would also recommend you to cut at least 2 cm from your hair if you already haven't.

Try Avons Damage Repair shampoo and conditioner and then use the "3D Rescue leave in Treatment" It soposed to repair damage in as little as 3 days. I recomend useing these 3 to get full results. You can also get a FREE sample from your nearest Avon Rep of the "3D rescue leave in treamtent". This stuff is in no way expensive at all and if you really dont like it you can retrun all the stuff and get yr money back :) even if you have opened it and used part of it. So their isnt much to risk.

I've tried Wen, not too bad. Expensive though and be careful because they charge you in payments and not real clear about it.
Also, Aveda products are good. You pay more but worth it. You have to really switch it up I think. I used to work at a place that distributed to the salons and I had access to all of the good products. It's really what you're preference is. Not every major brand will work for everyone. Plus, they change packaging every year it seems. Don't get bought into that when deciding. It's the same stuff in a different package.

I love the Joico Kpak Shampoo, and the Macadamia natural oil deep repair masque (you can get it for wayyy cheaper on Amazon than you can at the store though, just a tip!) <3

Any shampoo that doesn't contain sulfates is best for your hair but if you use a shampoo that doesn't contain sulfates than you cant use products that contain silicones. If you want to not worry much about what is in your products than I would pick a shampoo that is lower in sulfates(treseme naturals is a good affordable one) and stay away from silicones if possible. Also if your hair is super dry and brittle I would recommend not washing it every day. Shampoos strip your hair of its natural oils. actually many shampoos main ingredient is that same main ingredient in dish soap that cuts grease in cooking pans. So imagine what it is doing to the natural oils in your hair. also if your hair is heat damaged you might try using cool water to rinse out your conditioner(the cool water helps to seal the hair shaft and lock in the moisture). I also agree with Laura a hair cut is defiantly in order. I am by no means a professional I just struggled with dry brittle heat damaged hair in the past. I spent alot of time researching and talking to a friend of mine who is a professional. Between her recommendations and the recommendations I found on the internet my hair has done a complete 180 and is much healthier now.

Well at my salon we make sure to only use shampoos and conditioners that are free from sulfates and silicones, this is important as both are bad for hair and don't help it to become soft or shiny at all. Right now we're using one called pro naturals moroccan argan oil conditioner, and so far we love it, the argan oil has proved to work really well for preserving hair color and toning down frizz. Plus it makes hair really soft and smooth, and of course shiny. We're planning on getting more from that product line, we're ordering them off a site called Beyas, in case you want to look them up.

Go sulfate free. I use Deva Care No Poo. If you need something drug store, I'd try the Loreal cleansing conditioner.
As you can see by my pic, I color my hair. A lot. So its in pretty lousy shape. The two things I like the most are the Ojon Dry recovery line and the Nexxus Pro Mend line.
Also, make every time you use conditioner a little more useful. Get a shower cap. After you put in conditioner; put on the cap, and leave it for 5 minutes. The heat from the shower concentrated by the shower cap will allow the conditioner to penetrate deeper.
