So I'm a dunce, and just realized that it's best to use a base coat before applying nail polish.
I used to always wear black nail polish and now my nail bed is yellowing pink.
GROSS.
Is there anyway to remove that color to get my nails looking healthy once more?

I used to put lemon juice on a cotton pad and rub it on my nails. :) It really helped brighten them up & remove the yellow staining from my dark polishes

I just recently learned that if you soak your feet in ginger ale that it should remove yellow from nails.

I'm not entirely sure what to use to take it off, but if you want to prevent it I suggest putting on a clear coat of nail polish before any colour<3

I used to have yellow nails from not using a base coat but I just had to soak my nails in some water mixed with lemon juice at a cool temperature and in about a week the yellow went away. Now I always use a base coat and try to stay away from using reds to often! :) Hope this helps!

the bubble white stuff from sally's works great. they sell it in a tub & i think they sell like a one time use pack so you can try it out. i looove it.

lemon juice should work. also buffing your nails with a buffer might do the trick :)

Put some peroxide on cotton balls and rub it on your nails. This should do the trick! <3

I saw this in Seventeen Magizine but haven't tried it yet. Use a lemon wedge and rub it over your fingernails.

I agree with all the lemon juice statements. If you buff your nails before doing that it helps to take the surface stains off, then the lemon juice can penetrate a little more and really get the yellow out.
