Hey girls! While roaming around my local beauty department, I discovered this awesome setting powder which was super silky to the touch! I'm pretty sure I've seen a similar product in other brands as well but I can't remember on the top of my mind!

Upon further research I realised it's silica powder. I remember reading about some negative elements to silica powder but I can't recall much right now.
Any thoughts and recommendations on the silica setting powder?
Thank you!

I've heard nothing but good things about silica setting powders! Everyone raves about the MUFE HD powder and it's just silica. You can find it cheaper on elf or you can go to tkbtrading.com and get a nice amount for just a couple bucks!

inmykit.com said e.l.f is pretty much the same as the MUFE HD one, the only difference being is the price :)
I'll have to check out the Australis one to. Thanks MMAY.Y

e.l.f's HD powder also contains dimethicone/vinyl dimethicone crosspolymer. (MUFE HD's is, as mentioned, just 100% silica.)

Thank you so much for the recommendations! I really love the soft silky feeling I can achieve with silica powder!
And thank you heaps to Jordan for more information! Seriously I'm really grateful that you're sharing your knowledge with us! And referring to your last picture, no, I wouldn't have guessed that half her face had silica! That's one beauty myth debunked!
