Hello. I'm 14 and I have really oily skin. I want liquid foundation that I can wear all day with out my face looking really oily. And I don't want to spend above $25. Does anyone know what kinds are good that I could get at ulta or spehora?

It's not a foundation you need it's a primer,
with a good primer (urban decay deslick in a tube)
and a good setting powder (revlon photoready)
any foundation will work!

I do find that different foundations definitely make a difference with my oiliness. Make sure you find an oil free foundation, and one that might be targeted for those with oily skin. I don't find that primer and setting powder makes a huge difference if I'm wearing the wrong foundation, especially on my most oil days. My personal recommendation is Revlon Colorstay (for combination/oily skin). It's a thicker foundation but is very blendable and so long lasting. Still, I would definitely use a primer, especially if you need your makeup to last all day, and have heard that NYX primers are good for a cheap price.

Make sure you're using an oil free moisturiser and find an oil free foundation :) setting powder makes a huge difference to oily skin! Translucent powder (elf high definition) is great for soaking up oil :)

IMO, you don't need a foundation at 14 years old. Nor do you need a primer.
You need a good skincare routine.

Maybe her skin is fine and she just wants to wear it. Maybe her skin isn't perfect and she's looking for some extra coverage, while her skin care is working on it. Maybe it's something entirely different, but it goes without saying that nobody 'needs' foundation. Yet plenty of people on Beautylish wear it across a very wide demographic.

Yes, it *was* supposed to be helpful. I was simply being honest and direct. Nothing more.
I also stick by what I said. No foundation, or primer, is going to help her with her oily skin. A good skincare routine will.
Also, think about it: How many times on here have other members told someone who was under eighteen years old that they don't need foundation (or a full face of makeup)? Loads. IMO, it's no different this time around. She's fourteen!

When someone makes a specific inquiry, immediately dismissing said inquiry with minimal additional information based on age is rude. I've done the same elsewhere in these forums and I believe we've been in various discussion threads where we've debated on the same as well as opposing sides. We're both direct and honest and I'm just calling it as I see it, it's certainly nothing personal.
If her skin is naturally oily, nothing will change it's underlying nature. It's a matter of managing it, obviously skin care is one aspect but makeup is another.
That said, I won't derail her topic further so I will simply agree to disagree Shelly T.

if your skin is oily, i would recommend using a powder foundation instead of a liquid. even if a liquid foundation is labeled "oil free" ive found it will still make your skin look a little oily/dewey at some point in the day. powders also look more natural than a liquid in my opinion, and seem to absorb the oil instead of creating more.

Like Autum said, a powder foundation would be more suitable if your skin is so oily. But like it was said above, a great primer, plus a good setting powder (I use Smashbox) can definitely make a liquid work for you.
