Does anyone know any tips or good products they could recommend that will stop my eyeliner from smudging? I normally wear water-proof liquid eyeliner and draw a small flick from the outer corner of my eyes but half way through the day it's disappeared. Can anyone suggest a way that I can keep my eyeliner in place throughout the day? OXO

It all depends on the type of eyeliner that you're using. I normally use cream/gel and pencil eyeliner and even if the pencil smudges, the cream/gel works wonders for me. I kinda find it hard to keep a consistent line when applying liquid liner at times but that's why I use it for when I need a thicker and bolder line. Cream/gel has a more accurate line since you apply it with a brush but it's not always as bold as you want unless using eyeshadow along with it. Pencils are great for both uses but it's easy for it to not only smudge but also run/migrate which is the problem that I have. I asked for help on that situation so if you need to look at it, I titled it "Eyeliner Problem... Advice Please?".

using a primer on your eyelids before applying makeup should help it stay put. ive also found that gel liners are longer lasting than liquid. maybelline has a really good, inexpensive one :)

I like using Sephoras liquid eyeliner. I have never had a problem with it. If I do happen to buy one, such as the Stiletto one from Maybelline, its not as pigmented so I go over with a Kohl pencil and yes, you should try setting it with eyeshadow.

I had this problem and after YEARS of trying stuff found the process that works for me. When it comes to liquid, I use the Stila pen and if I use Gel I will go for the MAC Fluidline (these are the ones I found smudge the least) and I have very oily eyelids (which is probably why urs is smudging too, oily eye areas). I first, prime with Stay Don't Stray from Benefit , i use ALL around eye as it also primes for concealer. I then apply Urban Decay Primer Potion on my lids and corner of my eyes. I then use whatever powder in my skin color, then I put on my eyeliner and set with either eyeshadow or finishing powder like Mineral Finishing powder from MUF. this sounds long and tedious but only really takes about 6 mins to do. and I swear by this method even at parties. With eyeliner the brand you buy has a lot to do with it. I've tried cheap and expensive and have found Stila and MAC Fluidline to be the BEST
