Hi beauties,

I'm just wondering how true the claims are that certain moisturisers and eye creams can 'reduce muscle contractions' to reduce wrinkles?

I've no beauty training so I'm just wondering if that's even possible? I know there are different layers in the skin but botox has to be injected to be able to work - does cream get as a far as the muscle?

Thank you!

The short, blunt version: It's BS. Slightly longer version: eye creams and serums can only reduce the appearance of wrinkles and lines; they don't get rid of them completely.

Botox-wise, to my understanding it tightens the muscles, but it doesn't render them immovable. (I could be wrong about that, though.)

Thanks Shelly.

Jeez, people will say anything to sell a product won't they? That's the most ridiculous claim I've ever heard!

It really is! Seriously, sometimes I think companies think we're a bunch of idiots. We're not!

This was actually a mid-price point item so I was shocked when they couldn't even spell strengthen properly on the packaging! Wasn't actually a bad moisturiser but I can't say it did anything even for fine lines.

Thanks ladies! :)
