Honestly Drunk Elephant is 100% worth the price, the ingredients are fantastic and you'll definitely see results. If your normal to dry I wouldn't suggest the B Hydra but if you're normal to oily then go for it. The eye cream is lovely as well (:

Yes- the C Firma Day Serum is the best vitamin C treatment I've used. I haven't tried the Ordinary Marula oil but I've tried other brands and I always come back to the DE. The glycolic night serum is good too. I'm sensitive to acids and this is one of the few I can tolerate. It has AHA and BHA so it turns over cells quickly. I don't have acne but friends of mine with acne have used it with good results.

The B-Hydragel is something I have been completely unable to dupe in terms of how it applies to the skin at any price point. It has a lightweight, yet oddly dewy/slightly tacky finish and feels wonderfully cooling. It's a great base under SPF/makeup for oily skin, and good as a layering product for drier skin types, though it's not a huge amount of moisture just on its own, as others have said.
I actually stocked up with a 25% coupon I was sent by Dermstore, which is a verified online retailer of Drunk Elephant, so if you aren't a VIB/Rouge at Sephora I recommend shopping with Dermstore and waiting for one of their more global coupons (Drunk Elephant is a more prestige brand and tends to be excluded from promotions), or using the e-mail sign up to get 20% off your first purchase, which doesn't have any exclusions as far as I know.
I think Drunk Elephant's strong suit is in their unique product textures and quality ingredients that are based on research, but they do tend to engage in a little fearmongering with their "non-toxic" claims. Not something that bugs me too much as I have yet to see a formula of theirs that offends my standards as a skincare junkie, but is something to be aware of if you decide to take their advice on choosing skincare products.
The stars of the line imo are the B-Hydra (simply for how unique the texture and finish are) and C-Firma for the complexity of formula paired with great packaging. Very little else they carry can't be duped (or even beat) at a fraction of the cost, save for the Sukari Baby Facial, and that's a whole other can of worms as it's a borderline entry level professional strength peel and should absolutely not be toyed with if you are new to chemical exfoliation.
