I just wash my blender and I came across this black stuff. I washed the blender like 6 times still would not get out. The color is the true. Color.

Could it be mold? How long have you had it?

It looks like product build up when you wash it squeeze it as hard as you can but make sure the nails don't touch it so it won't rip.

That looks like it could be mold. especially if it's not coming out after 6 washes.

I've had the same problem. its definatelt mold. I've tried washing it out plenty I times but nothing works:(
I've heard it happens if you store it damp/wet and don't let it air dry

You've had it a month and only washed it once?

Reusable makeup sponges need to be washed much more frequently than that to prevent the growth of bacteria and mold.

I agree, it's probably mold. I'm surprised you've only washed it once after a month, I wash mine every day. I'd definitely get a new one and wash it more frequently.

Definitely mold after you wash it's even though you squeeze the life...I mean water out of it you still need to let it sit out don't put it in your makeup bag drawer etc.let it sit out on your dresser or somthing so it gets air

I also vote mold. Everytime I've seen stuff like that on a BB or similar type sponge its mold. If you haven't been washing it after using it product buildup can become a breeding ground for bacteria which will cause mold to eventually form. Mold also forms if you wash the sponge but then don't store it out in the open. I'd toss it and invest in a new one.

I wash my brushes and blenders with baby soap coconut oil and brush cleaner mixed together. I allow them to soap then wash them and it typically gets all the buildup out...

Try mixing olive oil, salt, and lotion and some water and let it sit for one day the same thing happened to mine and when I did that it went away and smelled great!
