Not really a trend but something I see all the time at my university: blush on your ears. I am pretty sure it is an accidental result of over-zealous brush action, but come on!

@Emily How does that even happen?

I think they swipe a straight line back and forth across their cheekbones and end up getting it on their ears in the sweep. It's bizarre looking!

Well its always gonna be slightly judgemental. Regardless you should be confident it what you do.

I just don't like unfinished looks. I don't subscribe to the idea of all this makeup should look natural. If I really wanna look natural I wouldn't dye my hair or do my face.

On the shop page is new glitter lips, I did this for my Halloween costume and hated it, it was annoying, gritty and all up in my teeth. I mean it looks cool, but no... I also hate when people shave their eyebrows and then draw them on and anything that something thinks is a new awesome trend when in came like 20-60 years before, I guess I am a just a hater. I love my MAC "Naked" pigment, it does me right all the time! Lol. I DO like my nude lips, never thought I would, but it may be because I am getting old. I'm not sure that it is lighter than my skin tone, but matches well. I love smokey dark eye makeup and some super naked lips, haven't seen many doing the mad tan and lighter nude lips, I am sure it is weird. I do agree with the mad tan and the cool toned neon pink lips, I just don't think many can pull it off. What are the makeup trends unique to this decade because I've only seen worn blasts from the past...

@Karen I agree that everyone us entitled to look how they want to look and if it makes them happy, all the better, I just meant not to bash on other girls, just what you hate and why you hate it.

Non-age appropriate use of trends too, saw lady in her 50's with ombre blue tips in her hair, over tan with hot pink lips and scary outfit...where does it end???

@Ashlie I just can't imagine glitter lips being really wearable for anything other than Halloween.

@Ashlie J. you must live in my town! A stroll through our shopping mall on a week day is full of wealthy housewives in Juicy tracksuits and bottle-blonde hair with pink highlights. Nothing wrong with feeling young, but it looks desperate to me.

Ombre anything, orange tans with bleached hair, drawn on eyebrows, too long fingernails, and bronzer not blended properly.

I hate, hate, HATE the Joan Crawford eyebrows I'm seeing everywhere, especially all over the online makeup communities. Such lovely young women with wonderful application skills, absolutely ruined by drawing and powdering on giant fuzzy caterpillars onto their faces. :-(

And I'm sorry, but bizarre lipsticks (green, blue, caviar beads, rainbow ombré, etc) outside of theatrical or avant garde looks are not my thing.

OH I've known two girls who wore eyeshadow without any mascara. Ever. Their eyelashes were a dusty mess and it just looked ridiculous. Also, insanely creased eyeshadow. If you have oily eyelids, please invest in a little primer. Creased stripes on your eyelids isn't flattering.

I just have to say in defense of the drawn on brows SOME ppl like myself do not have another option...after my 3 round if radiation they were gone I didn't have even one brow hair left...and after trying way too many over priced potions and lotions I've accepted that they're never coming back...so I choose to create my own rather than look like an alien

The Joan Crawford brow comment reminded me of something else I don't like, kind of on the same page. I hate Marilyn Monroe eyebrows. They look good on her but I see them done on some girls and they are waaayy too sharp and don't look good at all. I think its best to enhance YOUR brow shape. I knew a girl who loved Marilyn and would do her brows like hers and she just looked so odd. I don't know if its because she did it wrong or it just didn't work well with her structure but it sort of made me dislike the shape in general. I don't think its something that should be worn every day, but more for a costume or something.

I don't like over-tweezed eyebrows. It looks unnatural. Your natural shape is best, just tweeze stray hairs.

I'm not a fan of when people bronze too much or wear foundation that is too dark for their skin. I also don't like when people don't blend the too dark foundation and they have a noticeable line on their jaw.

I usually say each to there own but i once saw a girl with blonde roots ( about 4 inch) then black hair, it was like she had dyed her hair black then left it for 6 months it looked crazy and the contrast was so strong that it made her look like she had bald patches
