What do you guys find is the best thing to use to apply this foundation? brush or beauty blender. I use a brush but I feel like I apply foundation wrong.

I have never used that primer but I have only heard bad things about the new UD primers. You should try to becca matte primer- I have heard it's life changing. Also naked skin is the first high end foundation I ever used, it's gorgeous.

No worries. I just thought I'd make note since you may be new and wanted you to get the most out of the forum.. I saw you replied and thank you for being so sweet about the advice.

Hope you enjoy your new foundation and I'm glad you got some feedback that should prove helpful.  :)

@Alexis thank you! I haven't tried the naked skin foundation but I am going to wear it to school tomorrow to see how it lasts through the day.

Rhiannon, I'd recommend trying the Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Foundation if the Naked Skin doesn't work for you (:

@Alexis thank you! when I use it I will definitely only use half a pump. I hate using more than I have to. I am going to try the foundation, I hope it works. If not do you have any recommendations for me that might work better?

@Rozberry I am very sorry, I can't find my post about the setting sprays. I was trying to look for it last night.. Is there a way you know I can get to it?

Also, if I try the primer and concealer am I able to return it if it doesn't fit my needs and doesn't work well on my skin?

I think I am going to try revlon concealer and NYX powder!

I love the Naked Skin Foundation and Optical Illusion Primer! My skin is normal to oily (some days I'm more oily than others) and I've never had any issues with oxidization, transferring, caking, or breaking down from skin's oils. Very lightweight but great coverage.

With the primer a little goes a long way so a half a pump is enough for your entire face. It'll help with smoothing and pore filling (:

Rhiannon, it would seem you haven't returned to your last thread regarding setting sprays, and I do think that many posters, including myself, did our best to offer help and so a return to a thread is always appreciated as is sharing if you've found a solution to whatever it is that you were wondering about.

Many members, by nature, won't reply to threads if a poster doesn't engage in their previous threads and so that's just a helpful tip to getting the best help and feedback in the forum. It's quite courteous and also helps you get the most from members. A win-win for certain.

That said, I agree with Essie. The Naked Skin foundation wasn't a win and I am not even oily. If it's not working for you, you may want to consider returning it and trying another product that pairs well with what you currently already own.

As for concealer, I do think that Revlon shines here...most of theirs are effective if you have discoloration because coverage is pretty impressive.
The only other one that comes to mind from the drugstore is Maybelline's Age Rewind.

For drugstore powder for oily skin, both Coty Airspun (comes in transparent and tinted) and NYX HD Powder. RCMA is drugstore priced and very nice, finely milled and is certainly affordable if you are oily by nature. It's too drying for my own skin, but it does perform as promised. You get a lot of bang for your buck with any of the powders listed.

I personally did not like the naked skin foundation as it came right off my face in the New Orleans humidity. If you sweat or get oily, expect it to disappear. Sorry I can't tell you anything better.

I bought the Urban Decay Naked Foundation in shade 1.5 at Sephora yesterday and ordered the optical illusion primer but they were out of stock so they're shipping it to me.

I want to know if these would work for my skin. I have combination skin, my t-zone is oily. I also have mild acne.

I wanted to know thoughts and experience with these specific products and the pros/cons.

Also, I'm not looking to spend a lot on a concealer and setting powder, I'm looking to get those at the drug store but I wanted to know if you had recommendations that would work well with the foundation and primer from urban decay.
