Hi everyone. Right now for eye primer I use the urban decay eye primer which I found doesn't crease but leaves my eyelids patchy. What do you recommend instead? Also I recently got some of the morphe palettes and I love them but some of the glitter shadows are hard to get on. Is there anything to help it stay on or be easier applied?

I love the Smashbox 24 hour shadow primer. I don't have any issues with it being patchy. I was my face/make up off if the shower but my shadow stays like when I put it on in the morning. of course it comes off no problem with eye makeup remover. hope that helps! sorry I don't have any experience with Morphe shadows.

Do the shadows get patchy when you blend them or do they apply patchy?

I use a really cheap one from Catrice and it works fine for me but I don't think it's the best out there. Have you tried the eyeshadow primer from Too Faced? I heard that's a good one.

I think it could be partially the shadows- Morphe can be inconsistent in quality. Different primers work for different people. I would say a general rule is less is more. I buff mine in with a fluffy concealer brush and then dust on a tiny bit of no color powder and then "flick" off any excess with a clean fan brush. I always lay down a base shadow close to my skin tone. It always makes my eyeshadows apply better- even the more high end brands like Viseart/ MUFE.

I recommend the MAC paintpots, great to blend and helps the eye shadows stay on all day.

It's possible that your lids might be suffering from surface dehydration. If so, I would apply some Vaseline on them at night to heal any dry patchy skin. Dry lids can be caused by rubbing your eyes (allergies), wind, harsh makeup removers or drying primers. I would try focusing on solving the real problem and not trying to treat the symptom, if thats the problem. I also use the Urban Decay primer, but I use ENIGMA, which is a creamy matte nude color. The original dries my lids. Also, make sure you LIGHTLY dust on a base shadow to set your primer and to prevent your color shadow from applying patchy afterwards. Apply shadows from light to dark to make blending easier, thus minimizing the amount of blending you have to do, which can aggravate thin, dry lid skin. As far as glitter shadow to stick, I would apply a long lasting cream shadow first, the gently pack on the glitter shadow over it.
