I cleanse tone and use moisturiser but I have a lot of texture on my skin as well :)

How long do you allow your moisturiser and primer to set before you apply your foundation?
What face makeup do you use, and how do you apply it? Do you layer products?
It might not just be your skin, but the products you use just may not layer well.
I find using the L'Oréal infallible matte foundation and the Collection lasting perfection concealer together cakes up on me no matter how little or much I use, yet the Bourjois 123 Perfect CC cream and the collection lasting perfection concealer doesn't cake at all. Some products just don't mesh well together

I personally find that using facial oil underneath or mixing with foundation helps so much!

Cakiness happens for one of two reasons. too much product, or a product that does not have enough moisture or emollients for the skin you are putting it on. going from there, first think about your skin type and then the foundation type and ingredients. you don't want a matte foundation full of silicone and alcohol on dry skin for example, no matter how much moisturizer you use. over the day the moisturizer will soak in and the foundation will dry up. if you are sure that the products are right for your skin then make sure that you aren't overdoing it. a dime sized drop is more than enough for a layer (or more) of a liquid foundation. always start with less than you want to use and build up. make sure you are applying very thin layers and letting each one rest before moving on to the next.
