I'm looking for a good face toner. I'm currently using the Burts bees rosewater toner and I hate the smell and I feel like it does nothing. I have very sensitive skin and since it's the winter my skin has turned combination, a bit oily with dry patches on my cheeks. What do you recommend?

I own two of Paula's Choice toners and I'd certainly be lost without them. You can choose from a variety based on skin's needs/type/concerns. (with reviews) I use the Resist and the Skin Balancing, as I run dry and am looking for hydration and anti-aging/healing. I can actually see and feel the difference with use. I also put some in a tiny spray bottle and use it to mist skin during the heat/cold for relief and refreshing.

Honestly, I always have two back up bottles and have gifted this to nearly all of my friends in a variety of formulations and they've all said it saved their skin (based on needs). You can order trial/sample sizes for 80 cents each.

Because of my sensitivity, I appreciate they are witch hazel/alcohol and fragrance free. I can even use them around the eyes/lids without any irritation. Hope that helps.

Thank you so much! I've heard good things about that brand. do you know if you can get it in Canada? When I was looking it up I only saw US pricing and with shipping and the exchange it would be so expensive.

I believe they are available in canada, but their customer service is amazing and I'm sure they would have more specific information.

I've personally used the Skin Balancing, Resist Replenishing, and Skin Recovery Toners. The latter two I would consider to be liquid moisturizers over what you might consider a toner as they're milky and a bit more rich, whereas the Skin Balancing Toner is a transparent liquid with a water-like texture.

I also enjoy the NuSkin NaPCA moisture mist as a spray on option. Comes in a massive 8.4 oz size and is lightly hydrating for skin as well as hair. Easy 10$ amazon purchase and great ingredients. Comes in a transparent bottle, but most of its ingredients are relatively stable even with occasional light exposure; just keep it away from light when not in use and you should be fine.

I know Skinstore.com ships to Canada and carries the Paula's Choice line.
They are having a 20% off sale, plus the inclusion of a free gift, which should help offset the expense a bit, but I don't believe you can get samples.

My bottle lasts me 6 months and I use it faithfully twice a day so I do feel it is cost effective. I also feel the high quality of beneficial ingredients with the added bonus of not only soothing my skin, but providing anti-aging makes it so much more than a toner in my skincare. Not using cotton pads that soak up product also makes a big difference and extends how much use I can get. I use clean, freshly washed fingertips to apply. These are very generous sized bottles and really, only a hint is needed for me; I find them that effective as it does just glide across skin so nicely.

Paula's North American Site currently shows FREE shipping for Canada with a "Free Shipping promotion and free gift with code" for $50 purchases currently. But even if you don't spend that much, If you submit your email, you get an additional 15% off of your first purchase, which again, should provide another break in cost. You can always unsubscribe after your first purchase. Free shipping may be included in that promotion as well. You also get 3 free samples of any product you desire that's available (and there are a lot) such as moisturizers, serums, sunscreens, etc. They also offer trial sizes of some products, which are larger and less pricey.

She's available at some Spas and through Nordstrom.
You can check Nordstrom online to compare pricing/shipping/items, etc. Nordstrom is in Canada and the Canadian Nordstrom site says they offer flat rate shipping and free returns.
You can check their site to see if it's available in-store at a Nordstrom within your area or which would be the most cost effective avenue for your purchase via online if you decide it's something you'd like to try.

I have sensitive skin and I swear by Indie Lee CoQ10 toner. No alcohol and full of ingredients that I call "skin food". So you are feeding your skin good stuff. A toner's purpose is to restore the skin's ph balance but most cleansers are sophisticated enough now that they don't alter the ph. So I look at toner as that extra step to get beneficial ingredients onto my skin before serum, oil, moisturizer. I also recommend using the Shisheido cotton to apply liquids (toner, Micellar water, eye makeup remover). It's so soft- ideal for sensitive skin.
