I think this is a regional thing, but I could be wrong. I've always wondered about that. Here in Louisiana everyone gets square nails. You don't really see anyone with stilettos or coffin nails. Or even almond. I personally like the coffin shape. Stiletto shape just reminds me of claws or scantily clad women. That's JUST ME!  Lol!

It's said that if your nail beds are wide, square shaped nails can make your fingers look shorter and stubby. That being said, you can always change the shape if you don't like it, so do what you think will look rad and have fun! :)

I personally go for almond shaped nails because I have small child-like hands. I tried coffin nails, but it wasn't me. I suppose it depends on the look you want. Stiletto nails are more BAM in your face glamour, while coffin nails are still trendy but less attention grabbing. Go with whichever style speaks to you most, you can always try another style later if you don't like the one you get.

Kathryn - Square nails are really popular here in England too! Lots of girls at my school get square, a few get stiletto but I've never seen rounded fake nails before on someone. Seems like square is favourited :)
