My eyelids keep getting oily after I apply my eyeshadow which just makes it look all cakey and sweaty. Any tips that could help me stop my eyelids from getting oily?

Do you use any kind of eyeshadow primer?

I second Alysse's question.
If you could tell us what eyeshadow you use, what primer (if you do) and what procedure you follow for applying it that would be helpful so we can pinpoint the problem.

Also, are you on a budget? I'll help as much as I can.

I apply the urban decay primer potion
I don't have a budget
I use the naked basics

I'd try putting white pencil eyeliner over your eyes. I don't know if this will work since I don't have oily lids, but it'll make your eyeshadow look better. Sorry if I'm not helping

I like E.L.F eye shadow primer, but I love wet n wild eye shadow primer. my eye lids are oily as well and my eye makeup last all day.

Okay so you are using matte shades, a primer... I use the same primer and I usually don't crease when I use it.

you can try spraying a brush with setting spray and patting it over top to prevent it from creasing.

Also I'd avoid other products underneath such as concealer and foundation. Try doing your eyes first and see how it goes (if you don't do this already)

Hmmm... I use UD Primer potion on my kids and it works well when I wear my Naked smoky eyeshadow. Weird. I'm not sure. I guess use everyone else's ideas. Sorry I can't be of more help.
