Hey ladies welllll the foundation I've been using is CLINIQUE BEYOND PERFECTING , MAC MINERLIZE & Sometimes NARS SHEER GLOW but I haven't used much bkus it attaches to my dry patches but I do NOT use setting powder just UD Setting Spray and I don't see no difference at all it looks so nice when I first do it then hours later it's not how it looked and the reason I don't use setting powder is bkus my skin is dry and that just makes my skin cakey and feel even more dry so I want to know what foundations you ladies use that last and look glowy and beautiful I dontnlike my face to look so cakey I'm really basic with makeup just foundation / mascara / concealer.

Are the foundations you mentioned for dry skin? Loreal Infallible Pro Glow is for dry skin, has a medium coverage and is long lasting. Also, have you tried Smashbox Oil Primer. It's great for dry skin, it will smooth & hydrate your skin so your foundation will glide on like a dream. I don't really like powder either but I still use it to lightly set my concealer and my foundation. I use a dual fiber fan brush to apply a very light veil of powder to my face, just so my contour, bronzer & blush doesn't get patchy when I apply them. I use a pressed powder, which also insures minimal product pick up on my brush. I don't press the brush onto my skin, I'm just lightly running th bristle tips over the surface of my skin so avoid cake face.

Clinique Is & Mac aswell Marleen , NARS not so much so I stopped I heard NARS SHEER GLOW is good but the thing is I don't use primer it drys up my skin I've tried many so I use moisturizer that is from LUSH that is OK to use as a primer under makeup & I've tried the oil primer and it was horrible on my face I look so oily unless I did it wrong with a foundation

That oil primer is pretty serious. I usually switch between that one & the It Cosmetics #50 Primer. #50 is a lightweight lotion type primer. It's hydrating but not heavy, oily or silicony. But, when you make a change in your routine to avoid the dry patch situation , you don't necessarily need to change up everything. Maybe just a foundation change will help. Although I would probably make a change in your skincare to try to get rid of the dry patches, so you don't have any problems with dry patches in the first place.

Well I don't have dry patches anymore due to the skin routine I changed and now use LUSH products and that's why I don't use a primer at all I just use the Moisterizer that works as a primer but it's very moist so if I use a foundation that is also hydrating I'm going to look sweaty and if I use one that isn't moist it will look Matte it's so difficult lol.

I'm okay with the moisterizer I use it works great as a primer for me with foundation I just want something that stays on and put for a long amount of time that doesn't dry my skin.

My Revlon colorstay foundation lasts like 12-14 hours on me. When it wear it just for work, it lasts 6-7 hours, even with sweating

Hey Star try the sephora 10 hour wear perfection foundation. I have a oily t zone but the rest of my face is normal so gives off a satin look to my face. It lasts for about 8 hours on my face but I do set my face with powder to prevent my face looking greasy.

Honestly, most long lasting makeup aren't glowy in general.
It's just a matter of how the more glowy foundations are more emollient and when a product is emollient it can smudge off, slide off etc.and not last.

Which is why most long wearing stuff is matte (since it can actually hold up on oily skin) but can end up emphasizing dryness on dry skin people

If you're no longer experiencing dry patches you should be fine using a more semi-matte product which will last longer.
In order to get that glowy finish, just mix a little bit of an illuminating product with it like the CoverFX illuminating drops(I think that's their name)
Or something like "high beam" from benefit you can just add to your foundation.
That way you'll have the long lasting aspect as well as the glowy look.
You could also try adding a drop or two of coconut oil.
Coconut oil is good for oily skin so when it's mixed with a little foundation if gives a glow but isn't overly oily looking like other oils can be. I quite like adding a couple of drops to a matte foundation to make it more glowy and it works well and doesn't effect the wear since it's quite a lightweight oil.

Have you tried Elcie? I had the same problem with foundations sitting ON my skin like super visible from close up, especially dry areas of my skin. I really like the Elcie foundation. I would say try it. Everything works differently on everyone but for whatever reason, that one has been my HG for over 6 months now (which is a long time for me since I am always on the search for the "perfect" foundation). I keep on trying other formulas, even super expensive ones but keep on going back to Elcie. They also have a face oil/primer kinda thing (it has major glitters in it so the bottle looks kinda scary but really subtle on) that I sometimes use. But l like the foundation with and without the oil. Let me know what you think if you decide to try it ;)
