I'm tired of my ELF HD powder. I feel like it causes a slight flashback in photos.

I'm interested in the Laura Mercier translucent however I've been deciding if I really want to buy it because of the price! Also, I was looking at the RCMA no color powder because you get so much for a great price!

I'm basically looking to set my undereyes ("baking" only sometimes when I'm taking photos) and set my entire face prior to bronzer, blush)

I have relatively normal skin. No oil and no dry patches!

That effect comes from the silica. Almost any product with a decent amount of silica will cause flashback unless it's had a long time to really soak in the oils from your skin. The farther down it is on the ingredient list, the less risk you run having that effect.

RCMA has more talc than silica, so it would probably have less flashback, but I haven't tested it personally.

I also like Sonia Kashuk's Chic Luminosity Powder under my eyes; it's a dupe for NARS Crystal Powder Pressed.

I haven't had any problems with flashback while using the Laura Mercier powder but I also don't bake so keep that in mind. I buy the travel size since it's cheaper and a little goes a long way. I highly recommend it!

Thanks Leuca :)

Thank you Alexis! I was looking into the travel size so that's good to hear!

If your getting any type of flashback it's due to your application the amount you apply on the area.
RCMA is a fantastic powder looks great in photography. silica will not give flashback unless you've piled it on to the max of no return.
Also if you're using a phone flash to take pic's that's a given you'll show up bright with any phone camera mixed with loaded product on.
Remember moisture helps powder and Baking will show texture. :)
