I usually get extractions on my face and it works really well! But after I get it done it causes redness and a few pimples. I have tried something the dermatologist gave me called Tazorac and usually it helps the pimples go down or even go away in just 2 days, but this time it hasn't gone away.

I have homecoming in a few weeks and I'm trying to get my skin clear as possible (even if it wasn't homecoming I would want clear skin 😂) does anyone have any home remedies for oily skin to get these pimples away?! Anything helps :)

Well if your skin is oily it's an indication that your skin may not be getting enough moisture try using a heavy moisturizer or cream at night to help out, and always moisturizer your face after washing :), my skin used to be oily and it helped.

In terms of reducing your acne I'd say Tea Tree Oil is a good alternative. I used it and it helped my skin dramatically, I used to get a lot of breakouts and it's calmed down significantly. I use it after I wash my face. Also icing your pimples helps reduce redness and inflammation of pimples, I usually wrap it in a paper towel of some kind and rub it around my face and pimples if I have any for a few. Rinsing your face in cold water can help close your pores too!

I would try being very consistent. Try exfoliating and cleansing. Every night. Sometimes I use a kind of painful remedy but I works! Take a tablespoon of cinnamon and a teaspoon of lemon juice. (Add more if needed) until you get a thick paste. Put the remedy on your pimple. This might cause a burning sensation. Not a ton a pain just uncomfortable. I would recommend leaving it on for 7-8 hours until it drys out (sleep with it overnight) and cleanse your face in the morning. One night should work but 2 will definitely clear your skin. One more is toothpaste. Put a dab of toothpaste on your pimple and sleep on it. If you try this out. Make sure you let me know the results :)

Try peter thomas roth complexion clearing pads, as soon as I started using them my face cleared up the next morning. they are sort of on the expensive side and have a very strong scent but they have worked wonders in a short about of time for me!!

Oily skin is quite normal as a teenager due to hormones.
Everyone's skin goes through a cycle of replacing itself.
Notice how dry skin people tend to get flaky but it's not that common for oily skin people.
Your natural oils may be preventing the dead skin from coming off and that dead skin can contribute to clogged pores.
What you'd need is a physical exfoliant to get the dead skin off which will help with some future breakouts.

I believe there was a study that shows oily skin doesn't get more oily from dryness but I'll have to find it and read it over again cause I'm not too sure about it.
the thing is, our skin has water within it already and then our oil produces and locks in that moisture/water keeping skin moisturized and supple which is why generally oily skin people age better than dry skin people.

A good toner would be witch hazel from what I've heard but I haven't tried it, personally

I think a good moisturizer For oily skin would be aloe Vera gel since it does has antibacterial properties and does help with inflammation

For acne, try using a BHA, basically salicylic acid.
You could also try some benzoyl peroxide treatment, I know up&up? from target has a 10% benzoyl peroxide treatment that worked really good.

I would not recommend putting lemon juice on your face. Also, pores don't open and close so that should also be noted.

^That really depends on how you're exfoliating. If you're using a harsh scrub, then yes you definitely shouldn't be exfoliating everyday, but those shouldn't be used anyway.

Daily chemical exfoliation augmented by a very gentle physical exfoliator like a microfiber cloth is absolutely something everybody should look into.

All 3 can cause problems and your skin could end up much worse than it was.
