I don't think that particular plum colour would be considered too "unnatural" if it were more straight purple I think they might say something however I don't think that particular colour would be considered too in appropriate for a work place. :)

At my job, it would definitely be not allowed. It depends on the company you're trying to work for and how casual the dress code is.

Depends on the place I was once told at an interview that my bleached blonde hair was unacceptable

It totally depends on the work environment. If you work at Hot Topic, you're fine. Lockheed Martin? Most likely not.
I'd check with HR and see if there is a policy about it.

I agree with Hailey P. But I would also ask just to make sure.

I work in an office and I would wear this. but it depends on he place where you work. Asking the HR department about hair color policies is always the best way to,go!

Definitely ask hr. I could see this working for most office settings, but most law offices or a job on military base (or military contracted) would freak about something even as subtle as that.

As a general rule, any hair colour that one could have naturally is ok. The colour you posted should still be ok in most places though, however I would have a look at the company's intranet for a dress code and also speak to your line manager, as ultimately it is them to decide whether the way someone dresses is within the guidelines , hr will most likely just refer to the official dress code.

Thanks for the input ladies! If I went with a color similar I would want it to be on a darker side which it would look almost black indoors then in sunlight be vibrant :)

From the picture it almost looks red but it really depends on the company and what position you're going for. If you're meeting clients for example, purple may be a no go but if you're sitting in an office all day it should be fine. There's a girl at my job who has green hair and works customer service. My friend seems to be fine at her job also. She just put some purple in her black hair and she works for a major corporation.

It kind of depends. Urban outfitters, probabley not. DA office. Yes.
