Don't pop them, it highly increases the chances of leaving scars on your face and you don't want that. Try to touch your face as little as possible, I notice that I get pimples on my face in the areas that I tend to touch. Try using a good facial cleanser specifically for blackheads and try pore strips, that might help with clearing out your blackheads. Other than that, eat healthy (fruits and vegetables), drink plenty of water and get a good night's sleep.

I pop my zits. all I get is a couple scabs for a few days. better than a yucky yellow or black zit in my opinion!

I wouldn't pop the black heads but this product is the best and it helps to heal popped pimples, tones, reduces redness, and drys out pimples

Never pop!!!! Use creams and leave them be. They will scar your face if you pop them. Also try aloe vera

Karla, the same thing happens to me. If I leave them they get worse and leave worse marks and scars. So, sometimes, when I feel they are ready I do squeeze them. Sometimes you've just got to get that bad stuff out so that they can heel. They problem is knowing when its the right time to squeeze and doing it properly so that you don't damage your skin and you get all of the bad stuff out. A couple of weeks ago I got a cystic pimple above my lip. It was quite painful and I felt for sure it was going to take forever to go away. Then about a week after it came out, it developed a head and I could see that would I be able to squeeze. I did and the inflammation and pain went away almost immediately and now the mark is fading away. I know that if I had left it, it would be in a much worse state right now. If you're concerned then go to a dermatologist.

Amy yeah same here I've always squeeze them sometimes I don't and I'm noticing I'm getting marks I can't remember if its cus I squeeze them or if I left them alone but do you know if the scars go away as time passes????

They definitely fade over time but the thing I found was that a lot times, if I left the pimples, they would become worse and then end up leaving a deep scar, which is obviously going to ruin the texture of my skin. So now, if I can, I prefer to squeeze them.

The actually have this tool which is designed to help remove blackheads. You can get it at Walgreens or any local store that has a cosmetics section. It is a much better alternative that using your fingers.

Try boscia's black mask. It's like boire for any part of your face. Just make sure to put on a good amount otherwise it won't peel properly.

Cleaners with sacylic acid work best for me. I use the orange nuetrogena anti acne cleanser. Any time I'm not using it, the problems return. Everyone's skin is different so you might try a couple of cleansers to see what works. I pop mine and it is fine.

I went to a dermatologist and was prescribed antibiotics and differin. The antibiotics are helping with the pimples and the differin has helped alot with blackheads and closed comedones. I hardly have any now. For me over the counter products didn't work so I always recommend going to a doctor. Good luck, anyway!

It's never good to pop a pimple or squeeze a black head. Make sure if you do feel like you need to pop or squeeze do it when there is a white head and do it with two cotton swabs and put pressure gently when you get out of the shower. With black heads use pore strips and a good facial cleanser.

Do you know what kind of doctor I have to look for is it a normal doctor from a hospital so I can look for one

Jan 12, 2013

You can go to a normal doctor or if you want more of a specialist who knows more about skin you can go to a dermatologist. Oh and I should mention that with a lot of the treatments you get from the doctor they can cause you to break out worse at first. This is your skin purging and getting all of the bad stuff and pimples from underneath the skin out. I have been taking my medications for almost exactly 4 months and it's only in the last month that I have seen real improvement, but I am really happy with it. They can take a while to kick in but in the end it's worth it. I just wanted to tell you because I didn't want you going to a doctor, getting medication and then coming back in two weeks like OMG I did what you told me and now my skin is worse!!! :P You have to really stick with acne treatments and give them a chance.

You can make an aspirin paste and apply it on skin at bedtime. Don't use too much water or it will run! By the morning it should be dry. Clean your face and use witch hazel to close your pores. As far as the black heads, they are not like pimple where skin has grown over it, they are clogged pores and the top of it is exposed to dirt and air so it's black. Soften them with a steam treatment, it could take a few times and an exfoliant and those you can gently squeeze out. Aestheticians do the same thing! Clean afterward and witch hazel. Your products can also be a trigger. Try an oil free primer and foundation.

I pop them if they have s head because if I do I get a tiny scab for a day or two and no scar. If I leave it I get a dark spot. Washing your face often will prevent blackheads, but zit come from inside so there isn't really a way to stop it.

Listen...I am honest with you.I had bad acnee and I have marks now, huge pores and oily skin.If you can afford,go to a cosmetic saloon for professional help. They will make a special treatment for your skin.Meanwhile, use scrub(from drugstore or coffee),mud masks with lemon and honey or tomatos.Don't pop them...As hard as it seems, they will get dry and then you can safetly remove it.Make a steam bath with camomille before any of this steps.Don't overreact with foundationd and powdet.Let the skin breath as much as possible. Also check your foods. No excess of coffee, black tea, chocolate, fats and condiments.Try to wash only 2 times a day(your face) and always remove your makeup before sleep.Use also Tea Tree Oil products. They are very good.Good Luck!!! :)

I find it heals faster when you do pop them but then the downside is that they start spreading, so, you'll end up with more of what you're trying to get rid of. I have the same problem with my skin, if I let them heal on their own I'll get a crater like scar if I pop them I get a dark mark which is fixable. Best thing to do, is to attack it right away by dabbing tea tree oil on it right away I use 100% tea tea oil and since I've been doing this and stopped popping them, it's stopped spreading. It won't get huge after applying the tree oil after washing my face and using witch hazel that's when I apply it right before moisturizing. It goes away in like 2-3 days on average sometimes even the next morning it's almost nonexistent sometimes.

If you wear make up... Yes, I know it's a beauty sin to apply it over acne but foundation sure looking better over a current pimple than a dry scabby one that's been popped.
