No, you should look up no heat ways of curling your hair on YouTube if you're experiencing dryness

It is true. If you straighten your hair before curling, the curls will die quicker. But it all depends on what kind of hair you have and how you blow dry it. If you're not going to blow dry it well, and by that I mean with a brush or something that will keep the volume down, then straighten it afterwards and then curl. Now I've noticed that when I used a reg. curling iron, my curls would die out within minutes. I began using a curling wand by revlon, I believe, and my curls last all day and I don't put any product (hairspray, etc.) afterwards.

Depends on what you mean by straighten. Taking an iron to it is overkill, but a good blowout will flatten the cuticle to keep frizz down.

if you straighten your hair first the curl will not take properly as the heat on your hair changes the way your hair sits until you wash it again so if you straighten or curl your hair properly you should not be able to do the other for it to take without washing it so simply no wash and blowdry your hair then curls it :-)

Just blow dry it. Don't flat iron.

I agree with Melissa. Usually when I straighten my hair before I curl my hair, the curl tends to fall much quickly and easily compared to when I wash and blow dry.

It'd be best if you blow dried it with your fingers & then curled it :) Don't forget the heat protectant though. :)

No don't that will damage your hair! Just wash it and blow dry it before curling, I find that works well for me without all the heat:)

I wouldn't. Heat is bad enough for your hair, why apply it twice? If you are worried about frizz just apply a smoothing serum first. Don't forget to use a heat protectant, also.
