I have really oily skin! Especially on my nose, cheeks, and forehead.
Is it a good idea to apply moisturiser to my already oily skin, or to just leave it and apply no extra moisture?

Yes, def. skipping moisturizer can cause your skin to become dehydrated and produce MORE oil to make up for the deficit.

Yes, even oily skin needs moisture. Probably even more so because usually oily skin is oily because its dehydrated. I started using maracuja oil as my night time moisturizer and its doing wonders for my skin. I don't have as many breakouts anymore and when I wake up my skin is soft and not slick. Its been so worth the $46 I paid for it. I use Tarte's brand which is why its so pricey. But they have a small rollerball for $17. You could try argan oil as someone else mentioned as well, but I love the maracuja.

If you don't use a moisturizer, your skin will start producing even more oil than it normally would in order to compensate for the dehydration you'd cause if you skip moisturizing. By using a moisturizer, over time your skin will start producing less and less oil because you're already hydrating it with a (and I'll say it again) moisturizer. I had a very oily t-zone for most of my life until I started using almond oil. Safflower oil is also good and so is argan oil. My face is arguably more matte than it used to be.
