I use apple cider vinegar as a toner plus every couple of days I take 1 tbls of baking soda and 3 tbls of water mix together to make a paste and let it sit for 10 mins afterwards my skin looks great and I have very oily skin and tend to breakout a lot but doing this has really cleared up my skin

hi im a beauty therapist and skincare consultant in the u.k and trust me as ive suffered with acne for many years. you shouldnt use scrubs over acne! it spreads the bacretia into other pores and infects them causing more spots and irritstion or scarring! try clinique acne solutions 3-step twice a day for 3 weeks and if you see no difference you should see your doctor who could prescribe you some cream, antibiotics etc to help.if that fails you should see a dermatologist. hope this helps :)

Try going the natural route! African Black Soap is wonderful for acne prone skin. It's all natural and made from the ash of plantain and Shea trees. I would break out terribly and I started using this and voila my acne isn't even there anymore. I also use Apple cider vinegar as a toner with tea tree oil in it. Both are wonderful for your skin and ACV is great for acne. I then finish off with a pump of Argan Oil and put it on my face. Argan oil is also great and its even good for oily skin. Like others have said, you must keep up your routine. No skipping at all and I bet you'll have results. :) but I would definitely give this routine a try. Black soap is three bucks, and everything else isn't too expensive either.

I second Marie-Claire, but if you really do want to exfoliate (I do about once a month just to clean everything out) then I suggest mixing whatever cleanser works for you with a tiny bit of baking soda, which is the gentlest exfoliant I've tried thus far, and make sure to rinse it off really well and then moisturize, moisturize, moisturize!

Manifest in breakouts*
Also, if the breakout are deep under the skin and very painful, the cleanser you're currently using might be too strong for your skin

Exfoliating breakout will just irritate your skin even more and cause scarring. You NEED to moisturize. Oil production and hydration levels are too different things. I have found out the hard way that dehydration in the skin can sometimes manifest itself in dehydration. I have combination skin too and I have found that a mild non foaming gel cleanser, glycolic acid and a good moisturizer goes a really long way... Especially if you live in a colder climate. Hope this helps! It sure did for me and my clients!

The best thing you can do for your acne is to be consistent with the product(s) you use. Sometimes going from one product to another can irritate your acne and or skin. If you're looking for a do-it-yourself face scrub, I'd recommend using coffee grounds and the CeraVe foaming face wash. The face wash doesn't dry out your skin, and helps to restore your skins natural barrier. I put the wash on my face and lather it up, and then use the coffee grounds with the wash still on my face. This works really well with my acne, I hope it does for you too, because I know how much acne sucks. I hope this helps! 😊

Plus the CeraVe cleanser is easy to find in your local Walgreens, Target, and or CVS. It's about 14-16 dollars. I hope this helped

I used to suffer with really bad acne. But I'm going to tell u my secret weapon that has helped me cure it. I still get pimples here and there But this product helps my acne stay under control. I use the CeraVe hydrating cleanser. I don't moisturize because I have oily skin but the cleanser it self has moisturizer so I don't have to worry to much. This has helped me a lot. Plus acne medication products just irritate the skin which I recommend cleansers without harsh acne products. The CeraVe cleanser doesn't include any acne medication at all.
