Its going to go thru a peeling process and its not going to be lovely. To take the sting away and something I've seen my super pale MIL do is mist her sunburned skin with milk. Yep, good old cows milk. Aloe gel irritates her skin so she uses milk.

Aloe gel works the best! I've tried a lot of other crimes but Aloe gel is definitely the best! You can also try drinking aloe water, that also works!🌿

Make a really strong black tea and let it cool to room temperature. Once it is cool, apply it on your sunburn with a wash cloth and let it dry. I usually will leave it on my skin over night and take a shower in the morning. combination of the cool water and components of the tea (like tannin) help soothe the skin and speed recovery. Hope this helps!

Buy some Aloe Gel, toss it in the fridge & use. It definitely helps soothe the burn. There is no way to avoid the peeling process.
