I used it and my hair went pink! I was distraught!!!!

My mother got it and when I borrowed it my apartment smelt of burnt hair with the tinge of crunchy crimped arm hair remains on my arm. I was horrified, as I had very high expectations and this gadget did more harm than good for me... Please don't spend your money on it.
