I find drenching cotton wool in nail polish, wrapping it in tinfoil and leaving it soak through works well - might be better for your nails too :)

Polish remover is acetone very caustic. Elmer's glue was developed by accident while trying to make coffee creamer and is non toxic. I think this is safer

i also found a great, great technique which only involves nail polish remover, foil and cotton pads! cut a cotton pad to the size of your nail, drench it in nail polish remover and place it over your fingernail. secure it in place over your nail with foil. leave for about 3 minutes and then you will find the glitter polish will mostly always come right off with little effort.

@chelsea try going on mobile or desktop the picture will be bigger.

The foil method does work amazing but I thought this was pretty cool and you don't have to waste time doing the foil method it just peels off.

Yeah, i like the glue way better since when i do it the foil way i run out of polish remover really fast(: I haven't touched my remover in months LOL

What i do is just put a color close to the glitter polish under neath it so i can just pick it off when i wanna change it :)

Lol i live in Ireland so don't think we have elmer's glue - probably not the safest to go experimenting with glue on my nails to find an Irish alternative either :P if anyone knows of a type I'd appreciate it though :)

Susie, if Epoxy Glue available? I'm not sure if its the same thing as Elmer's glue but it works the same(: Peels off and everything

Ohh ya cool, I like trying new things so I'll give this a go with PVC glue, thanks Payton :)

I use glitter polish often and have yet had a problem with removing it. I use acetone which I know many say damages your nails but have also never had a problem. (Knock on wood) What glitter nail polish is everyone using that is problematic?

I use Models Own ones and find then quite tough to get off.

I think most all brands glitter polish is difficult to get off. Its the fact that the pieces get caught on a q tip or cotton pad, also using glue as a basecoat way less drying then Acetone !

it might be a little messier but when I do glitter nails, I use loose glitter. it comes right off with polish remover. I don't even touch my glitter nail polish anymore lol
