Petits Fours Palette

I picked up the lilas palette as I love cool tones and have a lot of warm tones in my collection already. The mattes are more on the lighter side but very beautiful. The shimmers pop like its nobody's business. Both shimmers are pretty similar to each other so I wish they had swapped out one of them for a darker matte - you can only really get limited looks with this palette. However, with a quad that is to be expected. Quality is excellent and the packaging is lovely.

I bought 2 of the Petits Fours and am hugely disappointed in both. The photos on both make the shadows look much more interesting than they are and are completely different to the colour of the shadows. The Praline has 3 medium shades of sand (1 powdery, bland matte, and 2 shimmers) and a lighter shimmer. There is no depth of colour to any of the shades and they can't be built up. I really like other Viseart palettes (I have a couple of Theory ones, as well as edits and Petit Pros) and it's pretty much the only brand I use now because they're normally so good, but the Petits Fours are appalling. I'd send them back but it would cost me more in postage than the refund value. As it is they'll probably end up in the bin.

I bought this at the same time as the Chocolat Quad. The matte shades are so buttery and easy to blend and build. The shades may be too light to show up well on deeper skin tones, but they work very well on me. The shimmers in this one are fairly disappointing. They are very glittery, but not easy to apply and they do fade/flake a bit easily. I would have happily sacrificed one of them for another matte or a satin texture. But I still enjoy this quad and will buy more from the brand.

As soon as I saw the Lilas quad I had to have it. I don't wear cool tones often but this could sway me. Don't expect a bold look from this palette. What you will get is a beautiful muted mauve look with some incredible sparkle. I use the darker matte as a transition shade then soften the edges with the lighter matte which gives a nice ombre type of effect. The shimmers are very similar so honestly that would be my only gripe. One of the shimmers in a mauve shade would have been perfect. I do love Lilas though and might have to buy a back up. Gotta love Viseart!

This is my first Viseart purchase, and I will definitely buy more from the brand. This warm-toned quad is vibrant on my skin tone. The mattes are among the best I have ever used, blending and building effortlessly. The shimmers could be a bit smoother, and have less glitter for my taste, but they do last well on the eyes.
