Designed by beauty blogger and makeup brush expert Sonia G. for mineral powder foundations, Face One is a fluffy powder brush with velvety natural bristles. Face One features the perfect size, shape, grip, and density for blending powders of all types to a smooth, poreless finish without disturbing makeup underneath.
“This was the very first brush I wanted to work on. Finding the perfect combination of density, softness, and material was so important.” — Sonia G.
Swirl product with the tip of the brush and tap off any excess. Apply and blend using circular motions.
When initially these released I was skeptical because of the price and because I was unfamiliar with Sonia. Eventually after seeing multiple glowing reviews I ordered this brush because it was a shape unique to my collection of Japanese brushes and I regularly wear powder foundation for my sensitive skin. Because my skin is dry I have a very emollient skin routine prior to makeup and bristles that are too stiff can cause my powder to cake up in the skincare. This brush literally feeling like I am applying my powder with a feather it goes on seamlessly and looks skin like which is a testament to the quality of this brush as I have extremely dry skin. I have now ordered two and will likely never use another brush for my powder base products :)
I purchased 7 individual brushes vs the set because I did not need any more duplicates. Now, I am seriously rethinking that decision. So far, this brush is my favorite. The bristles are incredibly soft, yet do not move your foundation around at all. I use this to finish off and gently buff in with one of my Hourglass powders and this does NOT pick up foundation at all. Zero movement, simply amazing. I mainly have Hakuhodo and Wayne Goss brushes and they are amazing also, but these simply WOW. Sonia's research and love of brushes completely paid off. I was skeptical and proven wrong and very happy about that!
This brush is unique. It is soft but still thick enough to buff powder foundation onto the face. I love it. I have many brushes and my favorites are flat buffer brushes and I have more than I’d like to admit... but this one is different and special. Functional but still extremely soft. Excellent.
Although long overdue, I’ve been hesitant about purchasing a new powder brush as my skin is easily irritated. Not entirely certain, I thought to take a chance on this brush. It’s not only aesthetically pleasing but works like a dream. And it’s true... it doesn’t move any of the products underneath. If you only ever buy one brush in your life - choose this one.
I was hesitant on this brush (bought almost all the other SG brushes) because it 'looked' scratchy, didn't seem unique, and was a bit on $$$ side. The image does not do this brush justice.
I am wrong on all counts! The bristles are sooo soft and full, thus the butteriest feeling when swiping across your face.
Totally recommend it.
I bought this more out of curiosity, as I suspected the Sculpt One would be my ultimate setting powder brush. But that was out of stock. Best choice ever! This is wonderfully soft and easy to use, and gives a great finish with both setting powders and mineral powders (though you would need to use a light hand for a really light coverage). I then tried it for under chin contour and for bronzer which surprisingly also worked well! You can put product on half the brush, stipple and blend. It even puts on viseart pigmented blushes seamlessly, as you can stipple them in and then blend them perfectly - and I’ve tried many blush brushes including chikuhodo and WG, yet none work as well as this. It’s too bulky to easily work well under the eye or to do highlight or cheek contour, but for most other face powders this brush can work well! A great surprise hit for me, well done Sonia G!
It buffs my loose powder in so flawlessly without disturbing my foundation.. I highly recommended this brush..
This brush is a gem. I use it to buff my hourglass finishing powder. It provides a seamless airbrushed finish. Love it.
I hesitated on this one- but now I’m glad I splurged on it. This brush is so soft but it has a great firmness that makes it very functional. I love to use this with Hourglass Ambient Lighting powders- so easy to buff them in and the result is so natural. It’s also a great brush for setting powder. The shape allows you to press powder in as though you were using a puff. It picks up the perfect amount of powder, be it loose or pressed. Sonia G never disappoints me!
Firstly, I would like to say thank you to MICHELE WANG who is a Youtuber that introduce the Sonia G. ‘s brush in the video. This is the best powder brush I ever have! I used to use the Lamer powder brush and I love it too. But compared to this one, Lamer one is not good enough. This brush finished the look so well! Really appreciated to have this brush! Thanks for Sonia and Beautylish too.
