Classic Base

Don't get me wrong, I do really like this brush. Was surprised by the size. It looked a lot bigger in the website. It's just a tad too small for my liking.

If you love Sonia G and love a compact Foundation Brush for precision, you will absolutely love this brush! The bristles are compact and short enough that they don't absorb much product. Application goes on seamlessly allowing for perfect blending in the contours of your face. I do not see any visible brush streaks after use! Also the brush cleans and dries easily overnight, which is my referred method. I like to give my brushes time t dry thoroughly although have not tested drying time shorter than this. Absolutely love this brush and I plan to purchase more from the Sonia G collection!

This is an update to my prior review...changed from 3-stars to 5-stars. I recently started using the new Chanel No.1 foundation. I use it sparingly and the Classic Base blends it out beautifully. It works as well as it does with my Sisley tinted moisturizer. I have since found out that the Macrene Actives tinted moisturizer is meant to be used with fingers, so my previous review was not fair. This was my first Sonia G. brush and I now own two more (Lotus Worker and Soft Concealer). Every single one of them gets two big thumbs up from me!!

J'utilise ce Classic base principalement pour les blushs crèmes et certains bronzers crèmes ou liquides (gel radiant chantecaille, bronzer crème fenty...). Ce pinceau a changé ma façon de faire dans le sens où je gagne du temps le matin lorsque je me maquille à 5h35 !! J'ai juste à prélever la matière crème, je la pose et j'estompe en douceur en faisant de petits mouvements circulaires et c'est fini ! Le blush ou le bronzer est appliqué sans déplacer la matière dessous . Selon le produit il me suffit parfois de seulement tapoter la matière sur le visage. Avec ce pinceau il est impossible de rater le placement de son blush, son contour ou son bronzer par exemple. Car en plus d'appliquer la matière on a un côté flawless qui se dessine et aucune démarcation sur les bords. Je l'aime beaucoup. J'utilise la lingette en microfibre de Sonia G afin de réaliser moins de lavages du pinceau, ceci pour préserver les poils.

This is so good for cream blush, applies so naturally without any hint of patchiness. It does shed a little bit especially after the first wash, but it's nothing out of the ordinary.

It's great - it blends cream and liquid products like a dream. I have some relatively nice synthetic brushes that I no longer reach for in favor of this. I don't use it for full on liquid foundation though (sponge or BK), I use it with Sneaky Balm for areas I want sneaky coverage and to beautifully blend cream bronzers, contours and blush. It's fine for mineral powder coverage too if you're not doing a full face.

I decided to purchase this brush after thinking about it for sometime. I thought my current foundation brush was doing a great job and I didnt need this one. This blew my Nyx foundation brush out of the water. The bristles are soft and I can buff my foundation and powder in with llittle effort. The result was seamless and flawless. Needless to say I'm back for more brushes from the collection lol

This is a beautifully made brush with bristles that are super soft. It’s a bit on the small side, but it works well enough when blending out a tinted moisturizer (Sisley). It doesn’t work well at all when blending out a foundation/tinted moisturizer hybrid (Macrene Actives). The bristles leave streaks which blend out eventually, but it takes too much work. In hindsight, I probably should have purchased the Jumbo Base.

Sonia G brushes are my absolute favorite!! I love this brush for cream blush. You can use it as a concealer brush to. I find it a tad small for foundation but if u like smaller foundation brushes you will love this one. Get it!! You need it

I'm so in love with this brush! My foundation application is flawless thanks to it. I can't believe how great it is even with more difficult liquid foundations - I'm no longer using my beautyblender since I received this brush! I'm an avid collector of Japanese fude and I've been following Sonia for so many years. Her products rarely disappoint, they're both beautiful and functional, always greatly crafted. I highly recommend this fantastic brush.
