I love this as a highlighter for under my eyes. This product is light and creamy. It only takes just a touch and it is very full coverage. I will definitely repurchase when I run out which I know will not be for a very long time due to the little amount that is needed.
This is a cream based, full coverage foundation. This product comes in a rather small little jar, but do not let that fool you. This foundation is the most pigmented formulation that I have ever worked with. The only thing I can liken it to is Illamasqua's Rich Liquid Foundation. This, in my opinion, is modernized pancake makeup.
A little goes a long way with this product. I really like using it as a concealer and/or highlighter. It has an interesting sheen to it when finished. The finish is not matte, satin, or natural(dewey.) It is slightly illuminating yet flat(That sounds strange, but it's true). I have done a full face application with this product, and it's not something I would recommend using unless you have some pretty significant skin issues. It makes for a great stage makeup application, but getting this foundation to look less thick and cumbersome is work. I have cut this foundation down with thinner, and it's much easier to work with, but even then, when I am on set, I have a very small window of time, and this product simply isn't something I have time to futz around with.
If you do want to use this foundation for a full face application, make sure the skin is prepped with a good moisturizer and a silicone based primer. It has a sticky texture to it, and once you place it on the skin, you have to start blending quickly. Forget about using this foundation on someone with dry skin because it will most definitely settle into fine lines and pores. In other words, it's not particularly HD friendly.
So why do I like this product? It covers everything. I like to stipple it into areas that need a bit more coverage. It also makes for a great highlighter and contour cream. I own every shade of this foundation, and if you want a very dramatic, highly contoured face, this product will do the trick.
this has parabens! !!!!!! nooooo! bad for women or anyone in general it mimics hormones and may be linked to cancer. please do research on this before buying any product and check your beauty cabinet
It is amazing! ... It covers ANYTHING. It does require a skilled Makeup Pro to use. It has a thick, creamy texture that has to be worked with. Once you experience it, it will become a staple to your kit.
I absolutely love this stuff for so many reasons!! As a concealer, it's amazing.....covers absolutely anything. It's a little thick for an under eye product but mixed with a moisterizer is okay. For full face founcation, I mix 1/2 a pea size of the Sensual Skin Enhancer with a cotton bud scoop of the Chantechaille Future Skin Foundation which is water based and very thin. Used with a Beauty Blender, this combination is HOLY GRAIL!!
I was on a hunt for foundation to cover a skin burning. Walking around, this lady asked me if I wanted to try Aucoin. I said sure why not. Good thing I did. I been using this product for over two years now. I love how it easy to cover anything. Makes my skin look airbrushed. I even have an airbrush system that does nothing compared to this makeup. Sensual skin enhancer is probably one of my favorite foundation out there. Its so amazing.
I AM SO IN LOVE WITH THIS PRODUCT. I read a several reviews and all were raving of the pigmentation of this and decided I have to have it. I purchased SX07 to use as a highlight for my undereyes, chin, bridge of nose, and forehead. I find the best way to apply this product is using the beauty blender. A little goes a long way with this product and it's best to build. I can not rave enough of how amazing the pigmentation of this product is; for my beige/olive skintone, the SX07 is perfect. This is a must have product for makeupistas!
Same as any other full coverage products, it is supposed to be built from the tiniest amount. Your smearing a junk load of it on your skin and try to blend it until your face and hand hurt is only a waste of money and your time. For me, I use a small flat concealer brush to dip into the enhancer, and spot conceal my skin. By 'spot conceal', it doesn't mean you can apply it right after dipping in unless you are doing your whole face, but to work it on a plate or whatever you like except your face. Build it up. It can be layered gradually from the sheerest to the fullest full. However, those nonsense added into this product just simply murder it.
If you're like me, you have uneven skin. After getting a free match and (might I add, rather large) sample, I immediately tried it. It caked around patches of drier skin and was hard to thin with moisturizer. It also brought attention to acne. Those with sensitive or acne prone skin should steer clear, it took forever to remove! I would only recommend to those who can afford the hefty price, know how to professionally apply makeup, and have already clear skin.
I love the colour - hard to find a good match when you're pale! - and it looks great for the first couple of hours after you've applied it. However I've found this to wear pretty badly throughout the day used as a concealer, especially because my skin is very oily.
Despite this I would recommend it to people with normal/dry skin. The coverage is amazing and the finish when it's first applied is lovely.
