Lock-It Tattoo Foundation

I tried this foundation out two years back when putting a thick foundation on only made my dry, flakey skin that much worse. Recently, I've revisited the foundation now that my skin is more of a friend than foe. To be fair, I mix this foundation with my NYX Pro White Mixer, MAC's strobe cream, and a drop of facial oil to make this foundation go on like a beautiful, dewy charm. Matte falls flat on my face, but this foundation works wonders when you manipulate it to fit your desired skin finish.

Not for dry skin!!

I was so so so excited to try this foundation, I have red skin and had heard this would cover it completely! I was SO disappointed when I applied this to my face that it made me instantly have flakey dried up looking skin! I tried moisturizing double time into my routine and it still did not work. I was very sad this foundation just would not work for me!

I had been dying to try this foundation out for a long time, i'd heard great reviews and raves about it's light color and full coverage. I'm not sure if i purchased a bottle at Sephora that was old or what but this foundation was the worst thing i have ever put on my face. It was so dry and clung to the dry patches on my face and made my pores more visible, it didn't even cover some of the acne scarring on the side of my face when i applied it. It dried so quickly and was hard to blend. It was very very thick, almost felt like i was wearing a mask. Before i left the house i had to wipe it all off and put on my usual foundation.

One of the only foundations to match my extremely fair skin, and yet I manage to struggle to like it. It has horrendous caking and is simply just way too heavy for my dry, flaking face.

AMAZING COVERAGE

I was obsessing over this foundation for the longest time and was waiting for what felt like forever before it was in stock online at Sephora. I love mixing this with other foundations to make their coverage amazing. It covers everything and feels very nice on the skin. It's quite thick but blends very well and leaves a very nice finish when using a beauty blender to apply it. The only things I don't like about this foundation are that it transfers quite easily and creases quite bad where I smile. But I still recommend this to anyone looking for full coverage :)

Adore this!

This has to be the greatest addition to my collection! Just about everything I've tried before comes out orange or just awkwardly dark. It's almost impossible for me to find the right shade, but I have FOUND the jackpot! I also really prefer thicker consistency and heavier coverage, so this is basically all I could ask for in a foundation. If you like sheer coverage, this will be your worst enemy. Otherwise? I suggest you try it! (Photo is a blend of Skin79 gold and KVD 42)

I tried a sample of this because I was looking for a new foundation, and this one did not make the cut. What it DOES do is create a perfectly blank canvas of your skin. If that's what you're looking for, this might be for you. It is almost more like a paint than makeup! The lightest color was far too pinkish for me, and since it applies so thick, it's almost impossible to cut that down. When blending it, it dries so fast that sometimes a spot will dry before the rest of the area you're blending, and then the dry spot will almost feel off and stick to your brush instead of stay on your face. It feels very heavy. You can definitely tell you're wearing foundation. I also found that it transferred to EVERYTHING. I've never left that many foundation marks on everything I touch.
