It is a nice sponge but it is just a bit too firm for my liking- I generally prefer beauty blenders. If you have ever used the Morphe sponges they are along the same lines as far as firmness goes, however the outer texture of these is soft, like velvet as indicated
I have quite a few different sponges, from Beauty Blender to Sonia Kashuk. (The SK are really good.)This one just doesn't do anything for me. I use medium coverage foundations, and perhaps it would work better with a high coverage formula. I didn't have that pressing in/finishing thing that sponges I like have. I found that it works slightly better dry than wet. It's also near to impossible to clean.
I only got this sponge because it was highly recommended and affordable, but all it did was soak up most of my product and for me it actually took longer to blend. Finish was ok but not really worth it. I’d rather stick to the beautyblender, morphe, ecotools, or real techniques sponges.
It took me a long time to get on board with buying these microfiber sponges but I’m so glad I finally did!! I was a huge fan of the beauty blender for a long time, then I found more affordable options that I still like which include the wet and wild sponge, the makeup shack sponge, the Nikkia Joy Cosmetics sponges, and even the elf sponge are very nice and soft sponges. However I adore the Juno sponges. I feel like I need less product and I get fuller coverage with my foundations no matter whether they’re full coverage or not and I just love them so so much!
I like the price point but that is the only thing I like about this. The sponge is too firm and almost a little rough on the skin, and it doesn't blend my foundation well. I look cakey after using this.
