This creamy, full-coverage concealer works like magic to erase dark circles, blemishes, and imperfections. Like a magic wand for flawless skin, the precision sponge tip rolls over blemishes and hugs eye contours for a smooth, seamless, never-cakey application. Infused with anti-aging molecules and botanical extracts, Charlotte Tilbury Magic Away Liquid Concealer not only camouflages imperfections, but also treats, soothes, and hydrates for naturally luminous skin even after you take it off.
Twist the bottom of the tube to fill the sponge tip with concealer. Tap, pat, and roll over blemishes, dark circles, redness, or any other area that needs coverage. For brighter-looking eyes, apply a lighter shade to under-eye circles and tap with your ring finger to blend. Charlotte’s tip: Finish your face makeup with Charlotte’s Genius Magic Powder for a glowing complexion

I was hesitant to buy this product as I adore my Sisley phyto cernes éclat eye concealer and I also have the fan favorite Nars creamy concealer and the Givenchy color corrector. So why do I need this? It’s well- just kinda awesome. The technological claims - eh- maybe they are true.. I’m not sure- but what I am sure about is the following: it truly does create a beautiful and perfect under eye canvas in about 2 seconds flat which is perfect for early mornings. I’ve never had any eye product creasing issues but this actually makes my under eye look perfect.. I mean spot on perfect (and I don’t bake or anything) in both texture and color all day. It doesn’t budge. I don’t have fine lines (only when I smile) but I’m 37, so I am always aware of not caking on too much product in that area. This is perfect. It also does wonders around the nose and mouth are — again it has an emollient texture but u like Nars- wherever you pat it in... it stays. I bought a shade lighter than my skin tone in 2 to brighten. It’s my new HG. I’m purchasing a second one.
UPDATE: I am back for q 2nd review after a few weeks of using this stuff. I have the most aged eyes for someone my age (36) . NOTHING covers bags and circles and looks smooth all at once. Until this. The first time I tried it on, I put way too much and it looked so terrible but, i learned that if you dont apply any pressure and lightly swipe it across your eyes then pat in with your fingers and immediately set with her original powder using a damp beauty blender. This can turn out to look airbrushed and knock years off your face. Also- I own shades 4 and 1 and I use 4 all over and then 1 for just over the very dark line at the bottom of my under eye and also use it for highlighting all over my face. Its perfect!! I am medium skin so the 4 matches very closely to my skin and then the 1 brings light and brightness but only where I need it.
I was skeptical of this concealer as I hadn't seen anything or read any reviews and it was a new launch from Charlotte. I was hoping for the best but prepared for it to look just like any other concealer I had used.
Boy was I wrong! This stuff makes me look like I have had the best night's sleep of my life. My under eyes look so bright and pretty. I love the coverage it gives and once you have blended it into the skin, it stays put.
I make sure that my under eyes are moisturized and primed and then I use a very small amount (A little goes a long way for me) and then pat it in with a different sponge than the one that is on the tip of this concealer, or on other days I will use a small, soft brush to blend it. I will set it on days when I think I need to, but I do have dry skin and sometimes setting powders under my eyes make them look creasy so keep that in mind, and this stuff does dry down very, very quickly.
I do love this and use it every time I do my makeup. The only downside to this is that you don't get a ton of product in the package (I LOVE the packaging, it feels weighty and it's gold so how can you go wrong?) but this stuff is amazing.
I think this is like any other concealer there does not seem to be anything special about, it goes on, it turns yellowish, and wipe/fades off within a short time. If you are able to get it out of the cylinder. You twist until you think you will twist the top off and then there is no way to stop it from coming out and saturating the sponge applicator. No, I was nor am I impressed.
I had high expectations for this concealer due to the reviews on youtube. I am NC42 and shade 8 was a good match for me. It has good pigmentation, however, this creases a little bit so I don't get a flawless application. The creasing is not too much so I can wear this all day without worrying too much about it. But in comparison to my holy grail concealer MAC studio fix, this is a disappointment. Especially because I get absolutely no creasing with the MAC concealer. I am keen to try different setting techniques to see if that would help with the creasing.
Ordered shade 6 and 5. I wear shade 6 in the Light Wonder and Magic Foundation. On Charlotte Tilbury’s website, it recommends shade 5 in the Magic Away concealer if you wear 5 or 6 in the foundations. There’s a really helpful chart on that website, so check it out. I like both shades. Each cleans very nicely, especially under the eyes. A little goes a long way under the eyes as well. I don’t think it’s very full coverage for blemish concealment, but more natural coverage. My favorite full coverage concealer is tarte shape tape. I think Magic Away is great for less heavy duty concealment (blemishes/bumps) and better for undereyes and red splotchiness.
I have a friend who raved about this and then a beauty blogger (WG) said it was great - so I gave it a go. I applied it and I blended it out then went to find another item in my makeup kit and when I glanced back in the mirror, I was sincerely amazed. This made my under eyes look FANTASTIC! Seriously, a significant, clearly notable difference in how the puffiness and dark circles looked! I'm a 2 Fair and it's already sold out when I came back here to buy more.
This concealer is the real deal. Worth every cent!
I was so excited to try this after seeing all the hype. I don't like the sponge applicator, and I feel like I waste so much product twisting to get it out. The concealer emphasised the creases under my eyes so much and even when using the Magic powder with the concealer left my under eyes really cakey. Tried with fingers, beauty blender and brush and all achieved same effect. Sad it didn't work out.
The concealer is medium to full coverage (buildable). I think the packaging is ideal but its very messy. I think the packaging needs to redesigned. But the product is great, would like to try other products by Charlotte Tilbury
The formula is amazing. Very smoothing. But the component it comes in is so hard to get product out of. You end up wasting more then actually getting to use any. I’ll prkbably send mine back.
