Too Small

I have to agree with a previous reviewer - these are just too small unfortunately. I didn't see reviews in my feed until after this launched/ i placed my order otherwise i would have probably cancelled before it shipped. SG usually sells out quick so i am surprised to see these are still available. The sizes are most comparable to the Chikuhodo z-10 brush , which for eyeshadow is perfectly fine. The 2 face brushes however just feel awkward in my average size hands. The quality and craftsmanship are excellent and i dislike having to return them but they just didn't fit my needs. I loved the jumbo blender the most for a quick all over shadow look and hope she releases this later on as a permanent brush, it has more movement than her original SKY ver. The mini base is the most useful for creams & liquids but i preferred using my fingers to apply my CT hl wand. The classic face was very airy and light but didn't feel necessary in my collection against her classic cheek & cheek pro. Overall if the size doesn't bother you and you can find a purpose for these brushes the cost reflects the sizes.

I never really could get into fan brushes , until I met Sculpt 2 & Sculpt 4 brush. Really it was the sculpt 2 (new release) that blew me away. So when comparing the size to this worker fan I knew I wanted to order it once it was released as an individual. Initially I didn't check and thought this was made of Saikoho, I didn't realize Sonia also used Hakutotsuho. But once I received it I could tell right away it wasn't nearly as soft as the sculpt 4 white hair brush I own. In reading other reviews, I agree this is less dense but due to the hairs used it is more apt to still pick up and apply more pigment - therefore it does better with less pigmented products. I use this mainly with my CT bronzer in med, even though its not as pigmented the product doesn't have kick-up so this picks up product more easily than my sculpt 2 or even sculpt 4 brush. I used it with my ABH bronzer and unfortunately it stained the bristles even after washing several times which i'm not happy about . It's a nice fan brush to add to my collection, but hopefully she comes out with a similar size using the Saikoho white hair instead.

When these first launched I hesitated on ordering , but thought I would give just one shade a shot. The shade description is a nude with brown base, but this leans so much warmer than I would have guessed. swatched I thought it 'might' be ok but on my lips I didn't love it. it felt kind of waxy / thick almost and too slippery - made all my lines more noticeable than with a matte lipstick . I have creme formulas I prefer like CT and this just didn't cut it for the $. there is also a size discrepancy - the website notes .14oz which is a fairly std lipstick size, but it came in as .11oz which is very tiny. everyone kept saying how small it was (same component sz as Nars std lipsticks but .01oz less than even that). The shade range also seems to lean warmer overall, and so many are similar its more about finding the undertone you prefer. if he comes out with more neutral shades in the future I might be inclined to give it a try again. but at this moment I don't find them to be worth the cost.

I purchased 3 glosses along w/ 1 lipstick & liner, I like these better but am not blown away by them. these days I gravitate towards gloss more but they're not as high shine as I prefer. I have the shades tulip, cherry blossom and petunia. The applicator is ok, not my favorite and I don't find too much product to come out. But the stopper should have been smaller so the product doesn't fly out when removing the wand.

- Tulip is a milky consistency which I expected but if you go in with a light layer and let your lips warm it up its not bad, I wouldn't recommend layering over lipstick. - Petunia is the clear winner for application and color - not too dark and would probably flatter many skin tones. - Cherry Blossom is a little less pigment ( I actually prefer a sheerer gloss), just a good mid tone warm pink. if struggling between hibiscus and this, I would only get one as they are too similar in my book. Cherry Blossom is pinker and a touch deeper, hibiscus is warmer a bit brighter.
